This product itself is well designed but they advertise that they have children’s and adult sizes, however the sizes are not specified child or adult. I bought a medium and it was for a 5-6 year old sized child. So I exchanged it for a Large which only would fit a 7-8 year old. My son needed a size 12/14 boys but even the largest size they had didn’t fit him. This prod is ONLY for little kids. It needs to be reclassified as such. Do not attempt to buy if your child is a size 10+ in kids or you are attempting to purchase for an adult.I WISH they made in this in adult sizes but as of this review, they have not.

I bought this in small and medium. The medium fits my child pictured (he fits size 5/6 or 6/7 boys sizes typically) and the small fits my toddler who wears 3t with room to grow.The fabric has no stretch to it. But the fit offers room to move. It's soft inside so I'd wash and dry with care. The zipper is plastic. Over all I'm happy with this purchase because I see it lasting a while with the very sturdy stitching. I also love the design because it's discreet and my child can zip it on and off when he pleases. I'd purchase this for a boy or girl, it's very unisex.

Love this hoodie and the company that produces it. Visit their website to get an idea what would work best for you.This hoodie has made a huge difference for my son in school this year. He is able to sit still longer, and enjoyed school. Not saying it transformed him over night, but the teachers and I noticed a big difference.A bunch of sensory vests for kids offer velcro and other wonderful features. But those features make the vest look like a sensory vest. Depending upon your needs this may be a good thing. For us, we prefer something less conspicuous. So the aesthetics worked great for us.

Runs small

My son would wear a hooded sweatshirt or coat all year long while at school. He didn't care how hot he was but I was convinced that there had to be a better solution. I found this vest and I was sceptical but he loves it and wears it instead! I even emailed his teacher to see how it was working and she had no idea that it was a weighted vest. It does seem to be having a positive effect and I will most likely buy another one.

Fits to size. The weights are easily removed so my kid decides to throw them when he’s mad.

This has been a tremendously helpful tool for my son! When he gets into sensory overload or can't focus, he asks for his vest and it immediately calms him. I learned from OT to only wear the vest in 20 minutes increments so that he does not become so used to it that it loses its effectiveness. This works very well, and I love how stylish it is. One of his teachers did not even realize it was a weighted vest because it looked nothing like the ugly therapeutic strappy vests that she had worked with in the past!

Love love this vest but wish there was one available in a more breathable material. It's perfect for 3 out for seasons here in Texas. I will have to order my son a different vest for the summer. He does get lots of compliments on it and it does keep him calm.
