I installed this for an art display wall. (I uploaded a picture to show these installed). I chose to install each end directly into a stud instead of using the plastic hollow wall anchor. I found the provided mounting screw plenty long to accomplish this, so all I had to do differently was mark a stud location and throw the plastic anchors away. It is very strong while mounted this way. I am not sure I would trust it setup with the cheap hollow wall anchors they provided. The kind that bite into the drywall and look like giant plastic screws are much better in my opinion for the side loading that these would generate if you needed to mount them in a hollow location. I would have upgraded the anchors if that were the case.Also I read the comments regarding the stripping of the allen set screws being a problem. In my experience this is a result of the soft hex keys that companies provide. I have much nicer set's of quality hex keys that I typically use for tiny fasteners like these that tend to be susceptible to stripping. But when I put these up I figured I would try out the included hardware just to see if the complaints were valid. I was able to tighten all 4 set screws with a single allen key provided. When I went on to the 2nd set of 4 screws (I hung 2 complete setups) I switched to the next allen key (one provided in each kit) as I did not feel comfortable using it again as the key was starting to twist and probably would have started stripping out the next set screw. So although I was able to install these completely with the included allen wrenches, I would suggest using a better quality one if you have one, and avoid over tightening. Ultimately I can see where people would have problems, but as I was aware of the issues and was paying attention while tightening them, I did not run in to any issues.The setup as a whole seems very durable for what it is intended. The cable is nice and amply sized, and very smooth. No burrs from running it through my hands while hanging it or cutting it. I was able to cut it with a good pair of diagonal cutters, but I would not say it was "easy", although not terribly difficult either. Maybe moderate effort. Definitely not something you would want to try with household scissors or a poorly mating pair of cutters.The ends provided plenty of adjustment to get the hang just right. I deliberately wanted to hang these with a sag to them, and I was able to easily adjust them to match the length's and sag just right. Likewise if you are going to hand them taut I am sure the adjustment will be more than adequate.Overall stylish, practical, durable, and does what I needed it to do.

Just what I was looking for! This turned out to be a great product for installing a privacy curtain across my wide living room picture window. I wanted a top-down bottom-up shade initially but the $350 custom pricetag wasn't working for me so this is my DIY solution. The wire is so thin that you don't really notice it but is strong enough to support a curtain. I chose a lightweight sheer material so there's very little load on this wire but it feels strong enough to hold much more. Installation wasn't too hard. It definitely helps to watch their YouTube video beforehand. What I like about this hanging mechanism is how subtle it is. It doesn't stand out, which is what I wanted for a minimalist look. It worked exactly as I planned. The curtain slides effortlessly across the wire. You basically screw the wire into the long metal piece and then snip the wire to the length you need. They give you a very long wire so bonus is now I have extra wire for some other future DIY project. To increase the tension you just keep screwing the wire more; decrease tension... unscrew a little. Pretty ingenius. And for the price, I highly recommend. I can see how it could be useful for hanging lightweight artwork and other things as wall decor.

this gives a nice modern minimalist look instead of having a huge rod mounted to the wall. These are very similiar (if not the exact same) of hardware sold at Ikea. BTW, ikea has really good prices on 98" long drapes for this. Anyway, installing isn't too bad. I NEVER use those weak plastic inserts, I always either use toggle bolts or use a screw directly into a stud. Even with pre-drilling, it was difficult if not impossible to screw this in without stripping the tiny hex drive in the stud. This is easily remedied with a dremel to create a slit so you can drive it with a flat screwdriver. Honestly I wish they would just make them with a slit, if you don't own a screwdriver you probably shouldn't be installing curtains.Once you get the studs in, then it's just a matter of installing one threaded side with the collar that acts as a stop, and then measuring where to cut on the other side. They provide a ton of wire, way more than what could be supported without sagging. While stronger cutters would come in handy, your typical small wire cutters will cut through the wires if you're patient and keep squeezing as it cuts through the individual strands. I reccommend you only thread the first side maybe a few turns so you have plenty of adjustment after you get the collar on and can tighten from both sides.

Es para cortinas muy ligeras o ventanas chicas! Si pones varios paneles de cortina será casi imposible tensar el clave y quedará como tendedero! Contrate a una persona para que colocara buenos taquetes y ni así lo logramos, de tanto tratar de tensarlo entre 3 personas, se botó el taquete y cambie de opción a comprar cortinas Enrollables! Si lo quieres para algo muy muy ligero o chico, está bien el producto!
