OEM Replacement 2006 Mustang GT
Ordered this to replace the fuel filter on my 2006 Mustang GT. The fuel filter is under the car on the drivers side. You have to remove a plastic panel then disconnect the fuel line from both ends of the filter and then slide the filter out of the bracket toward the front of the car. Before you do all that though you will want to remove the fuse for the fuel pump and crank the car over a few times to depressurize the fuel lines. You'll still get some fuel spill from the filter itself but you'll avoid a big mess. It helps to jack the car up a bit on the drivers side to get a bit more room. New filter fit right in and fuel lines connected up perfectly. Don't forget to put the fuse back in place before you start the car back up. Great OEM quality. Recommended.

Motorcraft fuel filter.
Bought for my 2005 Ford Mustang GT, being the third owner and the car having over 160k miles, I guess the fuel filter has never been replaced before. Simple installation. And old one was easy to remove. Ford always recommend motorcraft parts for for their vehicles because of its quality and that's exactly what I bought.

OEM
OEM filter. Works great. Had my original one still on and it was 17 years old full of sludge.

Spendy, but Genuine Motorcraft
Was tricky to install but that’s not a filter problem. Not cheap either. 81,000 miles on the Explorer when I changed it and the amount of crap that was in the old filter was eye-opening. Stick with the genuine Motorcraft your car will thank you.

Top quality item, but be careful which tools you use to replace it
I have no problem with this filter, and it appears to look very close to my vehicle's original filter. I would buy this again. Be warned that removing and replacing the filter can be difficult. The main problem is that Ford used quick-connect fittings to connect the fuel lines to the filter. Those are great for installing, but they're a real pain to get disconnected. There are two ways to remove and replace this filter: 1) Get the right tool to disconnect the old filter, or 2) cut the metal lines and graft the new filter in with rubber fuel line and hose clamps. I opted for method #1. I bought, from Amazon, "OTC 6509 Fuel Line Disconnect Tool" and that tool was junk. I returned that and got a set locally of tools similar to "Lisle 37000 Air Conditioning/Fuel Line Disconnect Tool Set ". These are the simple plastic ones that clip onto the fuel line. You still have to apply some pressure and push or pull the disconnect tool the right way, but these did the trick for me.In summary, this filter is great, but removing the old filter was a pain. It was a 15 minute job that took 2 hours including buying a different disconnect tool from the local auto parts store.

Good price, damaged box and no caps on the filter.
Great price but the box was in bad shape and the filter didn’t have caps over the openings of the filter.

Great OEM fit!
Installed on a 2008 F250 5.4L 2v V8. My truck didn't have the pain in the arse connections like some fords do, so I only had to use the fuel line disconnect tools to get it loosened and off (it was very old and rusted to the fuel line somewhat; grime etc..)Once installed and allowed to prime it all worked great and no leaks!
