Great tattle tale for my mom
My mother is a 85 yo with dementia. She has started getting up in the middle of the night, then falling. I bought this to alert me so I can try to prevent her from falling. It does it's job well! In fact it does so well, she has said, that is the worse sound I have ever heard. I say, it is the best sound for peace of mind. I can rest much easier knowing she is in bed where she should be and not on the floor. I would highly recommend this pad.The alarm is loud, as it should be, but is easy to disarm.

A huge help
We got this monitor when my mother started getting up out of bed without assistance, risking a serious fall. The monitor works well. Since my father (with hearing loss) doesn't always hear the alarm when 30 feet away in another room, we added a simple baby monitor to transmit the alarm into the other side of their home, but the alarm should be loud enough for those with normal hearing. It's simple to use and works well.

Mixed results, works great in chair!
Well I am not sure how to write this review! Everything seems to work fine and it worked great in the recliner chair we put in that my Dad sits in.....however when I tried it in his bed at night time we just could not get it to work right! The alarm seem to go off every time he moved! Tried 3 different nights with 3 different positions with all same results! So like I said if your wanting for chair use I would give 5 stars, but for a bed I can only give 3 and I am giving that much because it still could work for someone else’s bed just not my Dads! Update: 1/24/21 I need to add to this review even though I never used again with my Dads bed, with the last few months of his disease before he was no longer able to sit! This alarm became a lifesaver for us. He always wanted to try and get up by himself and if course it was when we turned are heads and this alarm never failed and letting us know! It even helped me when I was at my house (5 feet in front of theirs) and I could hear it through my link camera and I knew I needed to get over there to help my mom! So I stick with a five star on use for a chair! I also might add it is easy to set up, but beware when the alarm goes off you must be there to shut off or it will keep beeping 😊

Works great!
Has helped my mother to be safe and me to sleep more restfully. Only one comment: thought from other reviewers that the alarm was separate from the pad as I did not want the alarm to scare her or to be shut off by her. As it turns out, the alarm is attached with a cord to the pad. Found out it doesn't matter as the alarm is loud enough if I am indoors (1300 sq. house) and she cannot shut it off herself. Great product!

Life safer
This has worked wonderfully so far, burnt through the battery that came with it pretty quick. That's not enough to drop a star though, easy fix.Edit: We have been using this nightly for 2 years now and it finally had its first issue. It went off randomly, I have no idea why, I changed the battery earlier in the night. I unplugged the battery and plugged back in and its back to normal. With that said I am going to order one for backup, just in case.

QUIT AFTER less than 3 months!
Quit working in 3 months. 45 day warranty? Junked out. I trouble shooted best I could, unplugged, plugged, reset button, battery, etc. Nothing! Now it only goes off when you unplug it. What the heck!

Lifesaver
This has been invaluable to myself and my Dad's caregiver. Dad is unstable and is a serious fall candidate. He won't use a walker. When he wakes up he stands up and goes. The alarm alerts us that he is on the move and we can run (literally) to where he is (chair or bed) and get there before he falls.I would recommend this to anyone who has a loved one who is prone to falls and slightly disoriented (as my Dad) or full-blown dementia.
