This means it IS approved for "human use" and doctors can and do use it intravenously for all kinds of things.They use it in Germany, Russia, Chile. They've used it on babies with pneumonia and the babies recovered. If it's given to a stroke victim within 90 minutes of the event, it will dissolve the clot and the stroke victim may recover completely. Same with heart attacks. But finding a US doctor who would do that for you or a loved one right after a heart attack or stroke may be impossible. DMSO is a potent free radical scavenger.I bought it in cream form for my face and it's the only moisturizer I use now. Soon after I bought it and read the books about it, I started drinking a dropper full in a glass of water. It has a very strong taste.I don't care for it internally, but I convinced my hubby to try it after I tried it first, and now he puts a dropper full in his oatmeal every morning. It has helped cure his lung sepsis that put him in the hospital for a week over Christmas and which was kicking his butt every day. He couldn't walk three steps without having to sit down. He's back to normal now and uses it in his nebulizer so he can stop taking prednisone.It isn't a miracle cure, but I've been able to cut back on my pain pills. DMSO is seven times safer than aspirin. The disclaimer on the bottle is misleading, but is there to protect the manufacturer.We use it straight, but it can burn and itch on certain parts of the body. It can be diluted in a spray bottle with filtered water and it's much gentler in that form.I put a tiny amount in each side of my nose and it clears up stuffiness. Every now and then, I'll get an allergy attack, sneezing, runny, itchy eyes. I tried Visine, saline solution. Nothing worked. So I put the DMSO under my eyes and in my nose. Within a minute or so, it stopped the allergy attack.I rub it in and around my ear for tinnitus. It hasn't cured it, but it reduces the hissing.I rubbed it twice a day on a skin tag that had been on my chest for a year. Within a couple of weeks, it was gone. Completely disappeared.And here's why it should be in every kitchen: I burnt my arm with scalding water, ran cool water over it for a few seconds, and then put DMSO on the spot. Within seconds the pain was gone and there wasn't even a red spot.

This is a great price for pure DMSO. Sure, they say it's for pets -- but then, DMSO is still somewhat controversial. Since it is 99% pure, we use this for topical application. It helps relieve arthritic pain in the hands, that's for sure. In addition, mixed 50-50 with iodide (and in other cases, iodine), it is an extremely effective antibiotic for cuts and scrapes -- and skin eruptions. It'll kill a pimple pretty much overnight! By the way, when you put it on the skin, it may itch for 5-10 minutes, especially around the neck etc. This is normal. Don't get in in your eyes! And when you mix it with iodide or iodine, the bottle will warm up -- also normal. I now count on both these reactions to tell me the stuff is working.Another issue: some people taste a peculiar kind of "chemically" taste in the back of the throat when they first apply DMSO. Also normal. If this is so in your case, consider applying it just before you go to bed, and by morning, it will be long gone.DMSO has long be used to ease joint pain in horses. It is a product of the forest industry, derived from lignum. As a further refined product -- MSM -- it's the hot new powder that is taken internally, mixed in water, to ease joint pain, said to aid the health of the internal organs, improve the quality of skin -- and it certainly makes your hair and nails grow faster and stronger.This is a great price for pure DMSO.Recommended!

I got this product for testing on various things, and to assist in transdermal absorption of things, but ...That is not what makes me grateful for this product. After having a severe bout of kidney stones in my left kidney, and getting treated like a heroin addict under withdrawals at the local hospital (to include being handcuffed/footcuffed to a steel bed under the watch of a policeman under guard - gotta love the medical system the good ole' US of A today, ha? And no treatment whatsoever) I decided I'd rather die when the same thing happened to my right kidney 6 months later.Anyone that ever had kidney stones knows it is the most unbearable, most excrutiating pain you can ever imagine. It makes you want to jump out a window. You get dizzy from the pain, there is no way to lessen it, no position, no pressure points, no nothing will lessen that pain. It's 11 on a scale of 1-10, or maybe 99! You feel on the edge of passing out and wish you would.Anyway, I took a chance on this, and rubbed it on the side of my abdomen, AND GUESS WHAT!!! THE PAIN WENT ALMOST COMPLETELY AWAY, and after a few hours, HEALED! NO MORE PROBLEMS YEARS LATER!AMAZING! ABSOLUTELY FANTASMAGORIC! For this reason alone, I will never be without DMSO! JUST AMAZING!!! Why isn't this in the literature somewhere? I am sure DMSO does many other amazing things, but for this one reason alone, IT IS A LIFE SAVER!!!!! Hehe, I just can't be more thankful for this product for the kidney-stone reason alone. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I have been using this on my dog for calcinosis cutis. I have been using once daily instead of 2x daily. I have noticed flakes coming off of his back. He does have a large tumor on his shoulder. Difficult to tell if its done anything to reduce this at all.This came frozen so it took a few days to thaw out. It does smell awful when you first apply it and until it dries and then there is no more smell
