Are they for running?

I think these are general "tennis" shoes & are suited to jogging, walking, tennis, etc. They are not specialized for any one sport. I had some for about 30 years & these are the same shoe. Good luck!

Are this 11 American size? I don't see any option for the size.

I've been buying this version of sneakers since the 1980's. I've ordered the same size all these years, which is the same size on the other shoes I wear. Which has been size 11 all these years, and I live in Kentucky, USA.

Yeah, they're pretty much exactly like the old ones. I finally replaced my old pair that I have been wearing for about 20 years. When I got them I compared the new ones to the old ones & they were exactly the same. I doubt that they will last 20 more years however. Good luck.
