Batman: Detective Comics (2011-2016) Vol. 8: Blood of Heroes

Yet another fine entry in the Detective Comics run from a few years back. Perfect for fans of the Bat family stories.

Volume 8 was somewhat of a let down Imo compared too the previous two volumes. The first story line has Jim Gordon as Batman and features Harvey Bullock as a main character. Good story. Great too see Bullock get a lot of time. The next story line is a 2 parter as Bat-Gordon teams up with the Justice League. This was OK but pretty forgetable. The last story is a single issue from the Robin story line, you'll have too buy the collection too read all the other issues.Overall average volume too me.

Anyone who likes Batman or detective stories will like this book. Has all the elements of a good detective novel with the added medium of comic images. Just like any good detective story, not all is what it seems & a big reveal comes at the end.

For the next customer, don't stick one of those theft stickers to an actual page. Luckily I was able to peel it off but if I had a problem or tare the page while trying to remove the sticker, I would have sent it back

Während Bruce Wayne sich in sein neues Leben hineinfindet, versucht James Gordon das Gleiche in Bezug auf den Batman-Anzug. Und auch seine Umgebung - insbesondere Harvey Bullock - muss sich an die neue Situation gewöhnen. Darum geht es im ersten Teil dieses Sammelbands, der schließlich auch in die Robin-Kriege hinein spielt.Im zweiten Teil geht es dann um einen Fall, in dem die Gerechtigkeitsliga die detektivischen Fähigkeiten des Batmans benötigt. Da Bruce Wayne auch dies ablehnen muss, wenden sich die Ligaer an Gordon, der nun zum errsten Mal in der Superecke - hier im Zusammenhang mit Außerirdischen - "spielen" muss. Also in dem, was er als den "epischen Bereich" in Batmans Karriere bezeichnet und mit dem er eigentlich nie wirklich zu tun gehabt hat.Gute Geschichten, zeichnerisch gut umgesetzt. Aber ich bin mir noch unsicher, ob hier eine klare Entwicklungsrichtung vorliegt, deswegen kann ich mich nicht ganz zu fünf Sternen durchringen.

Great graphic novell! the art are amazing! The colors fantastic! The history (created by the writers) is fabulous! Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato are a great team! I recomend!
