This deo has an ideal thickness to be used as a deodorant. It isn't too soft an it isn't hardMy skin didn't give any reactions to it. It doesn't give any feeling after I apply it. Nothing slippery or dry. It is like it isn't there.It does the job to get rid of the bad smell all day. I didn't take the risk of not applying it the second day.It lasts for a long time. It doesn't spread all over its container and bother me. The mechanism also works fine and easy to use it.Didn't take it on a plane, I don't know its airport security performance.I used this one and the original one so far. Both smell I didn't like by any means. I gave this one away and using the original one. I hope I can find one with a fresh and soapy smell. The original has a smell like a pine resin. This one smells more acidic. Has nothing to do with aloe vera. But they both do the job so I surely will keep using this brand.Please don't risk your life by using antiperspirant chemicals and support these guys. Also someone with experience in gathering a good smelling mix, please give a hand to these guys, they are pretty much better than good with the rest of the objectives they need to achieve.

I love this stuff better than any other deodorant I’ve ever used. It can be a bit abrasive going on if you’re the sensitive type but for a tough pitted guy like me, it’s fine. It works really well and, the best part, there are so many scents. Try a few. A stick lasts a good long while.

Like putting clay under your arms. Keeps you dry and scent free. Don’t need much for sure. Works as advertised.

Ive been using this for years now, and love it. Smells good, doesn't stain clothes and actually works! I like the Coconut and Unscented the best.

I have to start by saying that I’m really sad that I have to stop using this stuff, because it really works, and I love the smell.However, I ended up in the doctors office, with a scalpel to the armpit, to drain the pus out of the infection that came from using this product. I had a huge painful lump about half the size of a golf ball. After a course of antibiotics I was well though i now have a scar in my armpit from the surgical procedure.I initially didn’t connect it to the deodorant- I went a few months of using it again and all of a sudden I started getting these painful red infection lines and swollen bumps again. This time I spread triple antibiotic cream on my armpits, and after about 5 days of application everything went away. After a few months this whole process got repeated again. So after 3 infections now, a $400 doctor bill, and a permanent scar, I’m finally pulling the plug on this deodorant. I don’t know why it took me so long to connect the dots.Please learn from my experience and avoid!

Update 12/27/18Not all natural deos works for me, but this one does. I've switched to using aluminum free, natural deodorant years ago but just recently found Sam's. Prior to this I've used Tom's (which doesn't work for me), Herban Cowboy (no longer works for me ever since they removed silver from their ingredients), Thai crystal (works ok), Crystal essence (also just ok), Primal pit (no idea why but the jacked up jasmine makes me smell horrible, I've had better luck with unscented) and plenty of other brands I've picked up at Whole Foods and other organic grocery markets throughout the years. I love Burt's Bees deodorant spray but they have since discontinued it and I began to scramble to find a replacement. I need to switch deodorants every week or so because my armpits tend to get used to the deodorant. I know it's weird but if I keep using one deodorant exclusively I find that it is less effective.This deodorant does contains baking soda. It works wonders, but for some it may cause underarm redness/ rash so I'd suggest testing out a little bit first before applying it to both armpits. I know some people don't like the shape of the deodorant but I actually really like it and it prevents the deodorant from getting gunky around the edges.So far I have tried sandalwood, tobacco, and ravine. All great scents that aren’t overwhelming. I love this deodorant but it STAINS like crazy. Yellow pit stains on all my white shirts and also my light grey ones. By the time I noticed I had already thrown the shirts in the dryer and the stains will not come out once they’ve been exposed to heat. On another hot day I sweated with this deo on and it got on my scrub top. It left an oily residue that I have tried to get out but to no avail. Fair warning this deodorant works but the stains have ruined plenty of shirts so I only use it when I’m wearing black.

I have been using this stuff for years in many different scents and it really is the best alternative to regular deodorant. It smells good throughout the day and I feel like it actually works as good as any non-antiperspirant deodorant can.

Some scents are much better than others. Original is great and lasts a long time - early on, I could get three days from one application - amazing. When this stuff works, it really works! On the other hand, it's a bit gritty and can irritate my skin. My whole family agrees that the Vetiver scent smells like cigarette butts and old coffee grounds in a trash can. I tried the leather scent early on and it was forgettable. Would love a little sample set so we could try them all and figure out which one we like best.
