Good quality tea. I drink this almost everyday...whether it's in the morning, afternoon, or evening. It keeps me awake and it also makes me feel calm. Love the container it's kept in.

Best loose leaf green tea with toasted brown rice. Like going to an upscale Japanese restaurant.

I received a gift last year of Iyomon Rigome Hojicha tea made by the Kyoto tea company that originated this style of tea over a hundred years ago. It's unbelievably good but hard to get in the U.S. This tea is also excellent, if not quite what I was hoping for, but that's expecting too much. It's not the same tea, though it's the same general idea, roasted rice mixed with a mellow green tea. I'm certainly going to drink every bit of it. It comes in a fine little caddy with two lids that's worth the price all on its own.

We've been buying this genmaicha with toasted rice for years now but this last box was full of rice with little green tea. I could not taste the tea flavor. I hope it is just a batch issue. If so I will come back to update my review. Otherwise, switching to a different brand.
