Updated on 28 May 2019. When you are waiting for your glasses to be delivered; go to your local Hardware Store. Purchase Gorilla Glue, super glue brand. Because within a short period of days, your frames will pop for no apparent reason and lens will come out. It happened today (Again). My wife was cooking, when she reached over to take a taste, the frame popped (I heard it too). The glass came out and into our Stew. Nice to fish that out. So this is it, I have been a sucker and purchased these too many times because I liked the optics. But enough is enough. Erin the manager won't even reply to my emails anymore, been a few. Stay away from TruVision until their Quality Control fixes this problem.My other comments before: I have purchased a few times now, this set. You can't beat the Optical Lens for quality viewing. It beats my Pearl Vision pair. But the frame around the lens just snaps for no reason. Had one on the coffee table while watching TV, don't wear them during TV. I just heard a pop sound. I looked down and it just snapped sitting on the table. This is my 4th pair that has done this. Why do I keep on buying you ask? You can't beat the lens and the comfort of the nose piece. I will glue the frame, which will hold for some time. But then it breaks in another spot. I have tried other brands here on Amazon, but like this Optics and and wearing the best. The vendor wrote back and said, they might have a bad batch from quality. Well, hope that gets fixed. This will be my last set to order, see if they have improved.

I liked these glasses. They were lightweight, hinges were strong, and the style was unassuming. However, all three pairs broke in the exact same place--left-hand side where the top of the frame met the bridge. The first pair broke within a week when I dropped it on carpet. Yes, carpet. The second pair broke when it was in my breast pocket and someone backed into me. The third pair just broke yesterday when I was cleaning them with a micro-fiber cloth. Because of this, I cannot recommend them.

I bought this set of 3 reading glasses based on the Amazon reviews here. I usually go through so many a year. Most common problems are: lens fall out, nose piece break off, hinge screw come off, frame bends out of shape, frame snap above lens or on stress area of plastic frame etc. I had them all. So far, these are holding up quite well. The frame hinge is pretty flexible and always return back to factory setting. The come with a microfiber bag to hold and also use to wipe the lens. I liked them so much, that I ordered another set as I already lost one. It's worth it to spend slightly more than the $5 ones. Now my only problem is losing these. 5 STARS!Update: I received a email from the sellers about how I liked my reading glasses. So far they are holding up very well. They stay on my head well and it's good to keep them in the silky pouch to prevent scratches. I must have purchased about a dozen of these and seem like I only have about 5 left. I mostly lose or misplace them so that's why I need a lot around and near me. I keep these in my car, my briefcase, by my bed, by my computer, my bowling bag etc. Now I know why I only have around 5. I think a 12 pack sale would be good for these or at least a 6 pack deal. I like it!!!! Still 5 STARS

The product is exactly as described, packaged very well and the quality seems to be very good for that price. Design and the material (plastic) are comfortable, so it is convenient to wear (no headache, no marks over the nose after long time of use:-).My advice to those who is buying reading glasses online: do not save time on careful selection. Beside the optical strength, the very important thing is to check dimensions of the glasses you are about to order online. From my experince, to fit well you have to make sure that at least the following most important dimensions are right for you: - frame width - nose bridge - temple (arm) lengthCarefully measure these dimensions on your existing glasses that fit well (better in millimeters for more granularity, you can easily convert them to inches later) and then look at the description of glasses online. If the description fails to provide precise measurements, do not bother with such glasses. You will be rewarded later by not returning the glasses and not feeling uncomfortable.

I could tell the difference in quality when I received this early in November. I was tired of buying the cheap glasses at the dollar store, which tended to break easily. However, by the end of December one of the frames had broken. The reason the frames break is the choice of plastic material. At seven times the price of the dollar store glasses, there should be no compromises in materials of workmanship. Time will tell, but if the breakage wasn't a fluke, I suspect that twenty of the cheap glasses would last me longer than three of these.
