From IT Pro to Cloud Pro Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint Online (IT Best Practices - Microsoft Press)

The information isn’t very good in the book. It’s not very detailed or “how do you use this?” Or even “how does one create/manage this?” It’s more of a book explaining what it is and explains about handling the bash like scripting you do. Horrible book for end users, horrible for Sharepoint site and content managers, maybe only good for someone looking into the very nitty gritty details of its creation, which is NOT what the book advertises.

Just purchased this is so helpful, I like how the author pointed out the new PS commands especially for o365. I recommend to o365 newbies.

Full disclosure I provided some PowerShell for the book but until I bought it I had never seen any of the other content. Really impressed with what is provided. To my knowledge there isn't another book that attempts to address the transition to the cloud like this does. As an example, if you are on premises SharePoint technologist there will be big changes in how you use PowerShell.

Assumes you're responsible for the config & admin of the Office 365 tenant in your organisation, this is 201 grade material.Useful as it covers a broad spectrum of features of Office 365, although services such as Stream to replace Video have since been released. The author shows how to use Powershell for deep control of Office 365; if you're new to Powershell, get familiar with that first!The explanation of modern auth wasn't was strong as I'd hoped and the explanation of groups deserved more depth, so loses a star.
