Pleasantly surprised
I purchased the opened box not knowing what I was getting myself into. The box looked really bad but the seat was still in all of its original packaging. All parts were there and easy installation. I’d buy it again.

A few things I had to get used to but overall happy experience
My upstairs Kohler enlongated toilet needed a new seat and I wanted to install a bidet, so this was a two birds one stone sort of scenario.I've had a few bidets in the past though this is the first one built into the seat. Installation was easy and I like that you can remove the seat if need be for cleaning or otherwise (there's a button on side opposite the bidet knob and the whole thing slides foward). There were a few things that I needed to get used to though:- The bidet internals are built into the back of the seat so the seats hinge is ~4 inches forward from that of the top covers hinge. This makes the target area of the bowl smaller similar to a normal sized toilet (not a big deal at all).- with the toilet seat hinge being set forward to the lid this means that when fully opened it doesn't touch the top lid (shown in image), I was used to hearing an audible noise when the lip is fully up, either a clink or thud, since there's no indication of this I can see it being pushed further than 90* leading to possible breakage from leverage.-Both the toilet seat and the top covers have a "silent close" feature that will slowly close with gravity when pushed past a certain point. Though this takes ~20 seconds and I usually find myself just pushing it down by hand to save time. Besides what happens if you become accustomed to the "silent close" feature and end up using a toilet that doesn't have it... *SLAM*-The bidet controls use a single rocker knob to control mode and intensity where all the way forward is back wash ON and all the way back is is feminine wash ON, and centered is OFF. I originally had issues with not having it centered in the OFF position and having one of the nozzles drip. Tip: If you listen there's a 'click' in each position if you listen for this second click when turning it off you'll have no problems with this. There were a few personal hurdles I needed to get used to but after a month I can say I'm enjoying it and I'm happy with my purchase.

Kohler is usually better quality
Not an easy install. Includes parts did not fit the standard 3/8 toilet faucet. 7/8 injection molded threads were crossed. Took a trip to Home Depot and about an hour longer than it should have. Disappointed with the Kohler product

One of the best bathroom inventions ever
Was chatting with a few friends and somehow the conversation turned to bidet seats. My friends who had them swore that they were absolutely fantastic and a must have in any bathroom. I thought they were crazy. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to get one to see what the fuss was all about. I did some research and this Kohler model came up as highly rated and the price was pretty good, so I bought it. The seat is very easy to install and comes with all the hardware needed. Everything was a very good quality and went together well. If I had one gripe, it would be that it's difficult to align on the toilet due to the fact that it has a separate bracket that installs apart from the main seat, so you really can't see how things line up until you slide the seat onto the bracket. However, this design makes it very easy to attach and detach for cleaning, if you ever needed to.The seat functions well and I like the fact that it has two separate cleaning stalks which work in slightly different ways to get you clean. Both cleaning stalks spray water with very accurate aim. There are a few types of Bidet seats, some which have heated water, and some that don't, like this one. Each has its own advantage. The non-heated models (like this one) don't require electricity and generally have more cleaning power since they don't rely on an internal pump for the water spray. Heated models are less powerful and require a power source, but they do have heated water, which some people might want. I was worried about this since spraying cold water on yourself might be a shock, but in reality, it's not a big deal and not worth the extra price / complexity of a heated model. Apparently, humans don't have a lot of sensitivity down there, so the cold water really isn't much of a shock.I'm really satisfied with how this thing works and it's a must-have in any bathroom.

Hard to clean!
It gets the job done but is rather flimsy. Trying to clean under the seat is a nightmare with all the little support sections. Other than that it’s ok. I would have expected better from Kohler.
