End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies About the End of the World

Interesting book
Sylvia Browne was a remarkable woman and I have read this book before but thought I would do a reread. She talks about other premonitions made over the centuries by others. Interesting now that I think about it they have been mostly men.

Did Sylvia Browne predict the Coronavirus?
With the Coronavirus everywhere, I found Browne’s predictions (which she wrote around 2008 for first printing) to be astonishing and convincing. She said, “In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes … "(Chapter 7). Her predictions about this global illness are compelling. She also predicted in “2020 for a sitting president to die of a heart attack.” Hmmmm. If you’ve read any of Browne’s other books, you’ll know about her spirit guide Francine. In this book, Browne focuses on the spiritual growth and not the doomsday, apocalyptic stories that have dominated. You’ll find a lot of historical and religious information across all cultures. But the best are the final chapters 7 and 8 where she reveals her gifts and insights. I read this book nearly straight through, it's that good. Take this journey with her if you are curious about learning some new perspectives and growing your spirit. Browne sees the end of days as our true “beginning.” Paula Cappa is an avid book reviewer and an award-winning supernatural mystery author.

Dusty's review about the end of days
This book is very much typical Sylvia Browne. She tries to give so much info that it really bogs down what she's trying to say. However, I thoroughly enjoyed all the history of people making predictions & none of them obviously coming true. That's interesting, but I'm too lazy to take the time to research it myself. The book accomplished what it was meant to & that was to get rid of fears about the world ending any time soon.Someone commented why in this book & her Prophecy book, she is vague about what year & which president that will have a heart attack. I think she knows specifically, but is concerned that saying anything will influence our decision about which candidate to vote for.I feel the same way about what she writes for suicide. Nothing in this world happens by accident, so if someone dies by suicide, that is the way that person is meant to die. But SB can't say that, b/c she will be blamed for encouraging suicide. The change in the anti christ confuses me a bit, however apathy does fit with the way she says the world will end. So at least in this book, it makes sense. There can be more than 1 anti christ in the world at the same time, but even so it would have been good for SB to state that. All in all, this books feels to me like she was writing it for people who have not read any of her books before. Those of us who have read her books are excited about our lives ending b/c we know the other side is so much better. But people who have not read her books may still be in the fear based organized religions, so naturally they are worried about their death & the end of the world. Which explains to me why she added the repeat stuff at the back.I'm very glad I ordered the book & it's one I will keep to refer back to every now & then.

Love for the connections we have with everything in our world and our universe.
It gives you a sense of excitement, yet peace at the same time. So many different religions yet so many of these religions have nearly the same ideas on the end of the world, death, and dying in my interpretation. That being, for all of us to connect to nature, animals, and all people rich, poor, of all religions. To be as kind, and empathetic to each others problems and help eachother. Most of all love our world, animals, nature, and other people without hesitating or looking for reasons of why you should. Take care of all of these that are connected when you know they are sufferering.

All End of World Prophecies in One Book
One thing I noticed about this book is that it discusses many “End of the World” prophecies from many different ancient civilizations. The thing to remember is that many of the mentioned predictions were correct in its prediction of the end of THAT PARTICULAR AGE. For example, several Native American groups predicted the end of their Age, with the coming of European colonizers and the modern world. These theories were spot on, but should not be lumped into the theory of the end of THIS age. So the big takeaway is that there have been many Eras and Ages on this planet that have come to an end. What needs to be focused on is the end of the Piscean Age and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. That’s where we currently are in time.

Fascinating read
Sylvia Browne has done a fabulous job researching this topic. There has been much written about the end of the world or end of days in the various world religions. The chapters on religion though interesting, tended to plod along. She also writes about the end of the world prophecies by the Mayans, Aztecs, Hopi andmore.Sylvia Browne writes that rather than accepting something, it is important to educate ourselves about it. There are three end of the world categories- apocalyptic, millennialism and messianism. The chapters on the various cults such as Heavens Gate and Jim Jones and the people’s temple were fascinating, disturbing and creepy.I particularly enjoyed the final chapters because it was her take on things. She predicted the pandemic in around 2020. The book was published in 2008!

Interesting perspective and somewhat inspiring...insightful
I read this as a bit of light reading and found a lot of things that she said truthful for today though some of her predictions have not yet come to pass. Perhaps the greatest benefit of her books is her philosophy on life and how we should be treating each other. The best doomsday predictions are always the ones that don't come true. The best philosophers are the ones who really do care about humanity. That is what I chose to take from this book.

Thank you for giving me my faith back
Thank you!!I needed every single word of "what comes next" and I love Mattie's quote, "I'm afraid of dying, but not afraid of death"...

She was a Wonderful Writer
I bought this book because I lost the original. Sylvia writes in a very special way giving the reader food for thought. She's uplifting in this book contrary to the title. I am a huge fan of her books so I haven't anything other than positive words.
