I like to use lightboards that fit the project. This is great because the fabric is smooth! The light is a welcome addition. I use my battery pack and connect both to the project. Making little diamond paintings for my great nieces. Perfect for little projects and coloring too!

I decided to get this for my granddaughter when she almost took my lap desk home during her last visit...LOL! She loves to draw and uses adult coloring books so I know she is going to love it. I had to get one with a light since mine has a light. It's not too small so it's something she can use for many years.

I love that the cushion ISN'T those little Styrofoam beads that get everywhere. It's very nice, cushiony, and the light conveniently stores away right inside. Batteries easy to install, too.

Ordered as a gift 4 my 86yr old cousin so she could color adult coloring books while watching TV. She loved it!
