Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price and construction, also had great reviews.Was at first concerned by the 'plastic glass' but it is very clear and looks great. Added an 11x14 mat along with the white mat included. Will definitely order more.

We purchased this pack of frames to frame some artwork for our guests. The quality actually surprised us, it was better than expected. The frames have a sleek modern look that works with any decor. It's light weight and durable. It's easy to hang. The glass is actually plastic - which makes this shatterproof. It comes with a matt, so you can fit a 5x7 photo in here or remove the matt and put in a 8x10, either one fits nicely. As for scratch resistance, jury is still out on that one, it is plastic, so it may scratch. For the price and quality, this is a good buy.

Great value for the money. Well packed with corner protection. Matts are nicely cut, the plexi is a good alternative to glass and 8x10 photos were easy to mount and display. Not museum quality frames but a very affordable way to display prints.

I have now purchased 30 of these to have match frames on a wall with a bunch of family pictures. While they aren't mind-blowingly awesome, they are a good value for the price.I intentionally tore off the little kickstands that let you use these on a table or shelf because the kickstand pushed the frames away from the wall. Once you tear it off (it's easy) they will hang flush on the wall.The frames use the bendable metal tabs to hold everything in place, so if you're going to be swapping our pics frequently, those tabs will eventually break off. But if you're just going to insert a picture and leave it for years, these will be fine.The placement of the little things you hang over the nail varies from batch to batch. I was very careful about lining up the pictures on my wall, then when I went to move some around I realized that the hooks on the back of the frame are not always in the same location. So if you're planning to hang 5 frames in a row, you can't just draw a straight line and put nails along the line. different frames have the hangers at different locations.So if you don't mind the minor drawbacks, these are an economical way to hang a lot of pictures.

Amazon has about 800 brands of inexpensive black 11x14" picture frames with 8x10" mats that look the same and cost the same. Here's why this one is unique, as far as I can find anyway, and why that matters:I print a lot of pictures myself, on special photo paper that's sized like standard US letter size paper, 8-1/2" x 11", and I print them borderless. I like the look of framing them in 11x14" frames with mats. But turns out that matting them down to 8"x10" cuts off more of an image than you might think. It's a noticeably smaller size on the wall, and you lose part of an image that someone created carefully. This is the only frame I've found, in a pretty extensive search, that offers 8-1/2x11" mats. In fact you get two mats with each frame, 8x10 and 8-1/2x11 sizes. I accidentally ordered a different brand recently and had to then buy separate mats to use with them, at some effort and expense. That's why these are special.These frames are made of MDF, a sort of pressed wood product, with convincingly subtle woodgrain texturing. The corners meet perfectly. To me it looks as good as wood. The fit and finish is excellent. I would prefer a wider frame but they're hard to find at this price. I would never consider an aluminum or plastic frame.Also there are little niceties, like the tabs attached to the plastic film stuck onto the plexiglass that make it easy to grab the film and strip it off. My other brand lacked these, leaving me to sort of pathetically claw at the plexiglass trying to separate the film.Are these perfect? Not quite, for my use anyway. The back is attached to the frame by horrible little sharp metal bits that you have to dig up and bend rather than nice hinges you just swing in and out of place. To their credit, the company supplies a little tool like a guitar pick for that purpose, but it's still an uncomfortable, time consuming, Flintstonian endeavor. Also, each back has hardware both for hanging and for standing on a desk. It's a nice option, but if you hang it on the wall, the weight of the desk-stand paddle tilts the picture. I just tear off the paddles. They come with strange little spiked hanging devices that supposedly attach to the wall without making a nail hole. I cannot understand how they work, and they are not well described on the small postcard that serves as the only product documentation. Finally, these are priced at about $5 each as I write this, a good price, but they cost almost the same when you buy ten as five. A bit of a break would be nice.

Built well. Reframed a group of pictures. Nice inexpensive way to have unity of look. Easy to do and nice weight.
