While it did need trimming to fit the exact size of my wife's HP Pavilion 15.6" laptop lid, it was not too difficult, and it comes with a paper grid to use as a guide for cutting it out. Her name on the cover of her Thanksgiving/birthday (2017) present ads a great personalizing touch and the quality of the material appears excellent. If it doesn't hold up, I'll revisit this review.Having dented my own laptop's lid, which was lacking such protection, I wanted to get her something right away to protect her new "toy". This "skin" is a thicker, textured material, like a thin, cross-grained vinyl sticker. It didn't seem to have bubbling issues when I applied it, and was forgiving when I need to peel, readjust, and start over after I began in the corner and had to realign after a few inches had been applied. That was good; I've put certain types of stickers on things that deformed terribly if you tried to peel them off again after you started sticking them on.For the price, it was certainly worth it, for how it makes the laptop look, and for the protection it looks like it offers.

I love this product! it looks amazing on my laptop and it was pretty easy to put on. It came with instructions and a grid to cut out first to make sure it fits right before you cut the actual skin. I bought a similar product for my son, from a different company, which did not come with the templet nor any instructions, and my son was baffled as to how to apply it or how to cut it to the exact size. Luckily mine came and since we have the exact same laptop he was able to just use my templet. I feel I am challenged when it comes to cutting and applying stickers so it was amazing to have the paper grid so I could cut that, make sure it fit, cut again, make sure it fit again, before cutting the actual product. I was able to put this on and cut it to the exact right custom size for my laptop. My name looks amazing, and it feels much nicer and thicker than I thought it would. To me it looks as if the laptop had been made this way! It also came much quicker than Amazon estimated which was a wonderful surprise!!! (I got it in just two days!) it went on slightly crooked and I was able to pull it up and realign it with no problem at all. I am extremely happy with this product and the way it looks on my laptop!!

This is not the first time that I buy a Mettford decal skin for my laptop. Every time I have a new laptop, I usually want to personalize it and Mettford products have been my go-to option.The good thing:1- The color of the decal is exactly as is shown in the picture.2. It seems of good material, like the ones that I bought before.The downside:1. I have a 14-inch laptop, and I made sure that I bought the one that said 14 inches. I didn't want to be cutting down anything, because I know that it is not that easy. Unfortunately, it was way bigger like for a 15-inch laptop or so. Originally the decal itself had an easy-to-cut mark for different laptop sizes. It worked for me the first time I bought a skin back in 2012. Now the additional paper that brings for you to draw your laptop surface and cut didn't prove helpful, and I ended up making a mess. It looks OK, but not as I expected.So my only suggestion is to be careful when cutting it down.To Mettford, please include the pattern in the back of the decal so it is easier to cut the decal to the desired size.

Perfect fit once I cut it to size. Easy to apply and the adhesive and print quality were good! Will buy for other laptops in my household.

I bought the heart and butterfly design. Be patient and take your time measuring. I'm a quilter so I have a rotary tool that I no longer use and it was easy to make the cuts (don't use a rotary that you need to sew or quilt!). A grid is included to help measure and after I measured and cut the grid, I placed it on top of the sticker with the sticker face side up so I knew what I was cutting. Since it is personalized, I didn't want to have crooked cuts or cut into a design I really wanted. I also peeled off one corner as suggested by the merchant but I didn't take the whole backing off. I peeled off half and cut it off so I had half of the backing on and half off. It just made it easier for me to make sure the sticker was straight on my computer cover. I pulled off the other half of the backing when I was sure I had the 1st half on straight.

I order a lot on Amazon, and this Company is one of the best I have dealt with. I have ordered twice-the Company even emailed me to make sure measurements were correct. The decal comes against a hard piece of cardboard to keep it safe during delivery. Delivery was on time!I highly recommend this Company.This item is giftable.

I ordered the new tea stained American flag skin. I had out business name customized on the flag. It turned out amazing. The detail they used putting on our name was great. We have received lots of compliments.
