Works well. Note: If you use the quick connect/disconnect on your hoses, it may restrict the water flow causing it to not turn on. Connect garden hose directly and no issues since.

Looked and performed exactly as presented.

The blue base snaps on, but not so strongly. I have had to pull the pump out to replace the blue base three times. The pump is excellent for power and pumping volumes.

It takes the extra water out of the pool just the way my husband wants it to work.

I bought this pump at the end of June 2017. I naively thought that since the product was more expensive and looked more substantial that it was better. However, I was wrong. At first this product was merely inconsistent. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. But as time went by, it didn't work a lot more often than it did, especially after the period of time to return the item had elapsed. Since I am passed the return date, I am no longer eligible to receive a refund, and I now need to purchase another pump, but not from Amazon!After I wrote this review (above), I contacted Amazon and they issued a full refund to me even though I purchased the pump over 3 1/2 months ago.

I purchased this item on June 17, 2017. During a rain storm shortly following the purchase, but after the Amazon refund date, the pump was a total failure. Since the failure occurred after the Amazon refund date, I notified the manufacturer. A replacement pump was provided by the manufacturer in exchange for the failed unit. The replacement pump failed during the next rain event! Once again I contacted the manufacturer and a NEW unit was provided via next-day-air. The NEW unit did it's job through a couple of rain events but failed yesterday, December 20, 2017. I now have two inoperable units in my possession, lost my initial $120 investment and have experienced a lot of frustration with this product.

Do not waste your money. First time use, This piece of crap would kick its self off as soon as it started raining. I spent a hour in the pouring down rain trying to figure out how to keep it dry so it would pump. I did EVERYTHING THAT THE MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDED. Not to mention I have a pool cover with over 6 inches of standing water on it an no pump to take it off. I'm just glad I opened the box to try it out before 30 days was up for a refund. Maybe amazon is getting so big they don't realize how much junk they are peddling these days. This experience is not what I would call a on line shopping at it best

I give Amazon alot of business.I bought this back in October and closed my pool and set this pump up 2 weeks ago.It has already stopped working. I would like for Amazon to refund my money ASAP because I dont expect to spend money on a product and it ends up being a pathetic piece of crap like this pump. Ill take my business to EBAY if You dont do the right thing and return my money. You should warn future customers of terrible items like this because it's a waste of a customers time. Shame on the people who sell this junk.
