Dorman 600-899 4WD Transfer Case Motor Assembly for Select Chevrolet/GMC Models

I like Dorman in general, this part was what I expected, excellent. Fixed some of the codes I had, others required cleaning connections to and from. The biggest hassle relating to this part that isn't listed in any documentation is the "clocking" of the motor to the shifter/T-case. After hours of research and deliberation it turns out it just auto-clocks. Just a small procedure with the dial nob to get it "learned".

Dorman products are great. I had the service 4wd message come up on my 13 sierra and had a code for the encoder motor. I ordered the dorman product as it’s a better quality item and I was familiar with their product. Installation was a perfect fit and the problem with my 4wd was fixed in minutes and saved me hundreds of dollars.

Easy installation, perfect fit, and fixed the "Service 4x4" message on my 2018 Silverado. For those looking I believe the torque spec on the bolts for the motor call for somewhere between 13 and 15 ft/lb.

Worked great, my old one was getting really slow, finally i started having issues coming out of 4x4, i always kept a scan tool just incase i needed to clear the error so i could try again.Then last weekend it got much worse, the error code stayed and it got really flakey.I finally replaced this and the front axle disconnect solenoid.Once installed, I had to disconnect my battery and reconnect it before it allowed me to test, until i did that i was getting a new error suggesting a power/wiring issue.Once the battery was disconnected and reconnected, 4x4 engages and disengaged faster than ever!
