Breville Countertop Compact Wave Soft-Close Microwave Oven with Pure Countertop Electric Kettle

I deliberately searched for a well-rated microwave that did NOT have inverter technology after our last (big name brand) microwave died in 7 months. It seems most are adopting the inverter technology, and that this tech has big problems. This brand was the only one I found with great reviews.I was concerned about the dial, but it turns out we love it. The entire control panel is very simple, easy to read, and easy to use. Assuming this thing lasts a while I would highly recommend it for elderly people who may have trouble with more complicated control panels or hard to read displays. The dial couldn't be any easier, and the display is big and bright.I was a little put off by the missing kitchen timer, but I just bought a separate timer and now realize I should have just done that a long time ago - works better, and way easier to use.It's been a month and it's still going strong. I promise I will be back if this thing doesn't last at least a year or two. I'm so tired of throwing money away on appliances that aren't built to last.

We moved into a new house and decided it was time to upgrade some of our older small appliances. Let me tell you how great this little Breville is! My old microwave used to "scream it's beeps" at me for way too long and we never found a way to turn the thing off - and the cheap plastic door slammed. This one feels like a huge upgrade. It is a dream to use. There's a button to silence beeps and the door has a gentle quiet-close feature when you give it a push. It heats beautifully and the sleek black interior looks clean and modern. I LOVE THIS MACHINE. I read other reviews and had a good feeling - it has gone beyond my expectations .

I have never had a large Microwave more that 1000 watts. I only use a Microwave for defrosting, heating up or popcorn so my opinions is only about the smaller units and I have had a number of them over the years. Most of them did not last more than a few years. Because of previous experience with other Breville products I decided to spring for this more expensive small Microwave and so far this has proven to be a good value. For 900 watts it preform much better than any previous small Microwave that I have ever had.

I had been looking to replace my old Panasonic and when it went out, I choose this one because of the recommendation of America's Test Kitchen as well as the great review from previous buyers. This one is perfect for my apartment. This one has a smaller footprint so it takes up less space than my old microwave oven. I like the soft close door, at least I don't slam it shut like my other one. Also, I like that it's a lower wattage since I only re-heat foods. I still lower the power to 60% most of the time though. Since I do cook bacon in it, I use full power and add another 20 seconds per bacon in order to get the extra crispiness that I prefer.I'm very happy with my purchase!

I was looking for a quiet closing microwave to replace our cheap and noisy one that moves all over the place when you try to pull it open or have to slam it closed. This is the only soft close I found. Some of the reviewers said it didn't last long so I hesitated for a couple months. But I kept coming back to it and when the price dropped from $250 to $213 I decided to take a chance. We've only had it for a few days but it is compact, solid, and oh so quiet. The soft close and gentle open are everything. The interior light is bright and overall it looks sharp and cooks well. I'm glad we replaced our Hamilton Beach with this. We'll see how long it lasts, but I'm loving it right now.

Our built-in microwave died and the quote to fix/get a new one to fit was over $1300. For a microwave. So I started looking for other alternatives. We have almost every other Breville small appliance so I already knew it was likely going to be a win. Microwave does everything it promises, and it's better looking than most. Also the size is nice - fits dinner plates, but does not look gigantic. Our built-in microwave is now used for bread storage!

It has both a dial and buttons. The door soft closes so you are not going to be able to slam the door unless you work at it. It heats food pretty evenly. All microwave oven have weak spots. It is very nice looking. Our old microwave bit the dust and we spent weeks trying to decide. We are glad we bought this own. There are just two of us so we did not need a full sized one. Makes nice popcorn, warms food quickly and it is just all around better than most.

Went with the $80 one noisy junk lasted about 6 mo, so I have been watching this one to see if price might drop, it did by 10.00 so I bought one, it really is worth the expense. It is now THE quietest device in the house, the living room about 12 ft from the kitchen and I can't hear it!! I first turned it on and waited for the usual roar but nope it wasn't there then just watched it to see if a roar would soon becoming but nope. Figured it was broke but it wasn't water was hot. Plus, setting knob for time is a great idea. If you want THE definition of a great microwave this it!!

Like the easy to use dials, buttons, and soft close door. Don’t like how loud the high setting sounds.

I order this mircrowave. Pluged it in. After 2 uses it start to smell like burning wires and it completely shut off. Talked to Amazon CS and they returned me a new one. I received it. Plug it in. Made porpcorn to test. Burned wires smell and shut off completely. The outside surface of the microwave is bburning hot. I don't know whats wrong with these microwaves. Full refund.

I recently bought this microwave for my home. I really like the soft close door and ability to turn off all sounds. It’s easy to use and is well designed. Build quality is very high as you’d expect at this price point. Overall I’m very happy with it.
