Easier starting, and Better gas mileage
I bought this for my 89 ford E-350 motorhome with a 460 BB. It works well with my MSD 6AL ignition box. Heard too many bad things about the MSD coil so I thought I would give this one a shot. Glad I did. Easier starting and after 1500 miles the plugs look very good. Very well worth the money.

Nice upgrade for 1996 F150 with 4.9
Plugs look better and engine a little more efficient now replacing OEM coil.Went with 8mm wires.Check plug resistance. Should be in the 1000 to 2000 ohms range. Over 5000 throw away.Champion for some reason have plugs hitting a half million ohms. Will cause collateral damage to wires, coil and crossfire in distributor cap.

Pro- Pretty yellow color. Con- It doesn't work.
Looks nice and feels high quality in the hand, but this coil will fail on you.I tried using one on a freshly-rebuilt engine, including the first start and break in. HUGE mistake. Couldn't figure out why it wasn't catching, timing and fuel seemed right, and I saw "a spark" when I put a tester on the plugs. Problem was, the spark wasn't hot enough, because the Accel coil had failed. I tried starting it over and over, wearing down the new cam while trying everything I could think of to get the engine to catch. There were so many new parts, it took me two days before I thought to swap out my bright, shiny new ignition coil, but when I did, the truck started right up. If you've ever broken in a new rebuild, you know I was sweating bullets, and I probably put 5 years' worth of wear on the cam jerking around with this Accel coil. Now I'm just waiting to see if I wasted thousands of dollars and a month of my spare time thanks to Accel, so as you probably guessed from this glowing review, I won't be buying any more parts from Accel (or their parent company, Holley, for that matter).Probably won't be as serious for you if this coil fails, but why bother. Save yourself the diagnostic headache.

Great coil for the money.
Great replacment coil. Easy (for a mechanic or avid diy) to replace. I noticed smoother running and quicker starts. It should last a long time. I'll update if it gives any greif. Although I'm not expecting any

Works Great, But How Much Better Than OEM is Subjective
1995 Ford f150, hard starting when hot. This coil sure fixed that problem and I'm satisfied. For the price Amazon is selling it for, this is one you want to get if nothing else it's built well and it looks good mounted on the engine. But if you buy this coil from other vendors it is upwards and beyond 2x the cost of an OEM coil. Now this coil did a fine job but if I had paid 2x+ I would question what I got for my money. In the end this part alone will not give you fire breathing startups. Whether or not a full priced ACCEL is worth the value over OEM, I'd say no. But at Amazon's price, it's definitely worth it, for sure.

Works good
I installed this on a 7.5L Ford motor in my RV and it works great. It was a bit tough to install because of the location on the motor, and the stock electrical connector was tight (I added dielectric grease to the outside plastic of the connector to get it to slide into the port on this). Definitely a quicker response from the engine, especially since I paired it up with ACCEL low resistance spark plug wires.

An improvement over Standard replacement coil. Noticeably better
Purchased for 1986 Ford Ranger 2.9 V6 I had a standard replacement coil installed for the last year. Was experiencing an uneven idle and mediocre acceleration. I installed the coil and a new connector. The idle smoothed out, the acceleration improved noticeably. I have always used Motorcraft Platinum Plugs. A year ago I installed new cap, wires, etc. I know the coil was well worth the money spent. Technology has improved in the years since the engine was first designed. It was an easy installation. Taking less than 5 minutes. Use a 5.5 mm socket, same size as the ignition module on the side of the distributor, to remove and install the coil. I also, spliced and soldiered in a new connector. Also from Amazon.

Saludos y gracias

Great price and great part
Works great as an OEM replacement. Perfect fitment. Also, noticed it allows car to start much stronger than the original Ford part, even when hot after a drive. Idle was perfect (750/rpm) and steady. Good price too.

Not an easy installation
States that it is for an EEC-IV. Comes with no mounting brackets and old coil ones will not fit. Does not come with same electrical connection. So you will have to make up your own brackets and electrical connections

Good choice
This ignition coil worked as expected no more midrange/top end misfires and stalling when engine was at operating temperature 👍🏽.

Lasted about 1000km
Replaced my old msd coil with this one on my ‘95 Stang. Worked for a little and now breaks up in the rpm around 2800 under load. Junk.
