Great controller! Read for “fix” on pad not at rest position.
Love this. Seems VERY durable. So far as I can tell there aren’t any weak points. They use two springs for each trigger to make them bounce back and allow you to squeeze past when the trigger touches the screen and allows for different width tablets. Although this last point I kinda wish didn’t happen-I wish it wouldn’t pull further than the screen as it makes more travel room for you to press and lengthens your response time. Not horrible though and not enough to lower the rating. I also do not like how I kinda have to squeeze my hands together to hold the thing or only hold by two fingers on each hand which is fatiguing. Probably just because the iPad is so heavy. So sometimes I rest the top of the iPad on a desk in front of me. A mount would help this and I am considering it. Going to this 6 finger/button setup will greatly improved your gaming ability. Even if you only used index finger and then thumbs on each trigger. I’m still not sure how to swap the silicone pads. Maybe it’s in the descriptions but i haven’t looked. One thing to remember-when the pads get stuck lower than they should and don’t seem to pop back up into resting position-they are not broken. The spring just popped out of its groove. This is easily fixed without disassembly. Just get a small long flat head screw drive and find the spring inside and push it back into the groove. This has only happened once to me after I put them in my bag for travel. I’ll try to remember to update on durability over time. I’ve only had them two weeks.

Review After 1 Year HEAVY Use
Today, Jan 12, 2022 is officially one year since I bought these triggers. I use them to play Call of Duty Mobile with my iPad Pro 12.9”. These really do get (what I would consider) heavy use. I use them for probably around 20 hours per week. I’m a pretty decent, competitive player in a clan that’s ranked in the top 0.01%, so these triggers have been well used! They’re still going strong and as responsive today as they ever have been. I’ve only had issues 2-3 times but that was only after traveling with them and really my fault for not packing them better. I’m those situations, one of the triggers lost its “spring” action. However, I quickly learned that (again, due to my poor packing) one side of the spring mechanism simply shifted slightly out of place on the backside. Almost like a train whose wheels just got off track. So I just used a toothpick to reach in and slide it back into the “track.” I added a photo to show springs. The fix literally took a few seconds. But that’s the only issue I’ve ever had and only after packing them in a backpack/suitcase for trips. I’ve never had any issues with the rubber contacts coming off or anything. I suppose part of it is in how you treat the product. I’m in my mid-40’s (yes I still enjoy some late night gaming sessions!) so I take care of them. Like anything else, if a younger kid is tossing their device around, there’s more chance for them to break. But I have no problem recommending them to anyone. I’m buying a backup set just in case. While I haven’t experienced and can’t visually see any issues with the rubber connectors, I’m assuming with as much play time as mine have received, there’s got to be some natural wear occur, so maybe I’d benefit from a new set. Buy with confidence. I don’t think you’ll regret it.
