Love it
What I really like about this is the concept, aquaponics. It also is just really pretty to look at. Initial setup was easy with step by step instructions on setting the entire tank up. I wish it was bigger so I can have more fish but I am satisfied with the product overall.

Pretty tank, but not for the advanced hobbyist.
PROS:- Looks really modern and stands out in the living room- Lights look decent and have nice intensity- Comes with everything you need to get up and running fairly fast- Good examples on how to aquascape and which plants to useCONS:- Filter is difficult to get to, and I don't like having to use their proprietary filter, needs a way to incorporate generic filters that are easy to change- Refilling water can be annoying, it requires you to remove the plant tray to the side and fill the bottom reservoir- Adding a heater in the middle pillar is a pain, had to do this a few times to get it to work, and for awhile there was a gap between the pillar and the rest of the tank which my fish would go into and get trapped and die.- Doing any sort of work on the pump (like cleaning) is annoying, really hard to access once installed and moving around the tubes for the pump is pretty difficultOverall, it's a good, pretty system. But if you like to do any sort of modifications or tweaking or accessing certain areas for cleaning, it is NOT easy to use in that regard. Everything is too compartmentalized and hidden away, which I get makes for a clean aesthetic, but isn't great for doing any complicated work on the tank.

Paid $599 and aquarium solution sold seperately?
Frustrating to pay the high price to get asap and then receive without a filter and says you need a solution that they sell separately. I assume that I will be able to purchase similar solution in fish store. Don't charge a premium price and then not include everything needed for set up.

Keep looking, DO NOT BUY!
This product is the biggest piece of expensive junk I have ever owned. I could not return this tank fast enough. In less than 24 hours it killed four fish, a week later it killed one more fish. It was cumbersome to put together, was cheap plastic, was loud constantly ran out of water and the most annoying thing I have ever owned. I would strongly advise to steer far far far away from this item and purchase a different tank. The cheapness of the plastic really took away from me art / modern look it was going for and while I am a fan of aquaponics this tank should not be allowed. If I could give it negative stars I would and highly recommend you keep looking.

I have been running this tank for awhile now and have tried multiple types of plants in it. Herbs, flowers and various house plants and everything has grown so well in it. The fish tank area stays nice and clean and my plants have done well with very little care. When people come to my house this tank gets more compliments than anything else! I plan to get one for my office soon too, great purchase!

Great, Stylish System
We received this Aquaponics Aquarium as a wedding gift, last September. After over a year, the Aquarium has worked great! We've grown several different types of plants including different herbs like thyme, basil, and mint, as well as a few strawberry plants, head lettuce, and now mammoth Basil and a black eyed susan. The thyme didn't grow well, the basil and mint did well. We harvested quite a few strawberries (with hand pollination), and they were delicious! Lettuce is fast and easy to grow. We'll see how the black eyed susan does. Assembly is straight forward, cleaning requires you to fully disassemble the aquarium and clean with a non-abrasive cloth. The system is still operating as it did when we installed it. We've changed the layout a few times, and overall, it's a very aesthetically pleasing aquarium and functional small aquaponics unit. It's a great showpiece and conversation starter. Haven't had to replace any tank components/lights yet, so that's a plus. The only downsides are I wish it had more space for plants and that it is kind of inconvenient to replace the filter, not to mention accessories and replacement filters are hard to find.

Nice idea but doesn't fully deliver
I set this up several months ago and like the look but this being my 4th aquarium, I'm surprised how hard it is to maintain, it would be helpful to have a bit more instructions. Also all the materials are specific to the system so if one part breaks the whole thing doesn't work.Update: had over a year and still can't figure out how to get away with not changing the water regularly. I've deep cleaned several times but it seems that it's so hard to keep the algea down on this tank.
