it ran like a dream (cool and quiet)
I purchased this pump as a back-up for my VP775. It just so happened that the VP775 only lasted a week before it failed, not to mention running extremely hot and noisy the entire time. When I dropped in the PrimoChill Enhanced D5 pump, it ran like a dream (cool and quiet). I'm so thankful I had this pump at the ready, otherwise my new x299 rig would have been down for days. I just wish I went with this pump from the beginning. In terms of looks, the VP775 wins out over this Enhanced D5, but I'd take a functional high performing pump over a noisy and unreliable beauty any day. The VP775 also seemed to generate more head pressure, but the Enhanced D5 has no problem moving water through my 2 GPUs, CPU Block, and 2 x 420 mm radiators. I recommend this as a first-line pump for anyone running a custom loop.

Cant go wrong with the original
What can i say, they are the old workhorse for waterloops. they make newer with more features. i didn't see the point, PWM control, Base 1200RPM on power only. 4500 max on PWM control. i really wish they would move to SATA power and loose the 4 pin molex but not dinging, that's still a valid connector and personal wish. These pumps will power your build, and all the brands stick a label on the same manufacture. these are good, i didn't have any issues, in boxing, shipping, working, noise, nothing. PrimoChill version is a not the cheapest, and if that's your priority (cost) you should be looking into AIO IMO. nothing cheap about custom loops.

Super NOISY!!!
The media could not be loaded. I'm very disappointed with this pump because I spent a lot of money on my custom water cooling system and I got this NOISY PUMP!!! first of all I would like to say this is the second one that I try (the 1st one was noisier than this one) And is just insane how much it costs compare with the noise...I guess I have to try with other brands because this one is like having a plane turbine on my desk

solid pump
I have this running on a singularity protium d5 pump/res combo for about 3 months now and it's been solid. It's in a loop with an EK Supremacy Classic AMD block, Bykski 5700xt block, and 3 alphacool rads (120x30 xflow, 240x30 xflow, 240x80 monsta). Fans are a mix of asiahorse/antec/scythe 120mms. Coolant is distilled water with Primochill's Liquid Utopia additive. It's the most noticeably audible component in my loop. It's most noticeable around a (reported) 2000-3000 rpm. Not to say that it's loud, but rather the noise profile is around where I'd call "whiny". The other components have a noise profile that are at a lower frequency, and this one is at a higher frequency. This is my first (and only) experience with a D5 style pump, so I can't say if this is unique to this particular component, or is inherent to D5's.I have it set to respond to loop temp and as far as I can tell, the PWM function is working quite nicely. Comes with a molex connector, rather than a SATA, which for some may be a huge negative. Would recommend this pump to anyone looking for a PWM controlled D5.

Wires were installed backwards. Required modification.
This is the third D5 pump I have owned. The two before this one were sold by Swiftech. I have had no problems with their version (MCP655-PWM). This PromoChill D5 pump caused me some issues. The main power wires (red and black) were backwards. The pump will not run in a backwards configuration. I had to pull back the sleeve a bit to notice the problem. The second potential issue I am seeing is that this pump does not appear to have the same top speed as both PWM enabled Swiftech pumps I own. The speed appears to be lower by a considerable amount. Since I don't have a way to measure RPM or water flow, I cant verify this. So take this info with a grain of salt.

One of the better D5 PWMs you can buy.
Sleeving done ahead of time is worth the very modest price premium IMO. Cabling is a bit stuff, but can be easily softened with a heat gun. Overall, no issues. Sound signature is the same as the EK D5 had had previously. I find 800-2000rpm is the best range for low to to performance. Max RPM is obviously pretty loud, but still better than a DDC. Unless you have an Aquaero, I would advise running this thing with the Molex connection. Most headers can't provide 37w.

Item DoA (no longer, see update)
I bought this item because I've had a d5 running in my system for about 5 years and thought replacing it would be a good idea. After about 2 hours of working on the project, I found that the pump wouldn't turn on. So I replaced it with the old pump and applied for a return.Even more unfortunately, I emailed the seller to try to get a replacement for the pump (instead of a refund), but his email is expired, so no contact is possible.Update: After a day of dealing with the above issues, the seller saw my post and replied that he would send me a new pump. Then he got the manufacturer to call me the next afternoon. They told me that they had a batch of these pumps go out with the molex connectors reversed!***IMPORTANT***: The red molex connector should be in position 1, and the black in position 2. Otherwise you will assume, like me, that the pump is non-functioning.Now that I have that resolved, I'm actually quite happy. The PWM control is in fact working, and even at 60%, it is equally strong (and comparatively silent!) as my 5 year old pump. I put it on a fan curve within the bios so that it will ramp up if temperatures increase. Thank you to the seller for their quick help with the product, and I hope NZXT gets this issue resolved quickly.Update: Bad new... the pump died. Mine lasted about 1.5 years. The sadder thing is that the pump I bought for my original water cooling pump still works after many years. Maybe D5s aren't as notoriously reliable as they once were...
