I have received two sets of these bottles now. The first set had a defective oil bottle. The first oil dispenser bottle had a leak somewhere. When I pumped the bottle to draw up the oil, it leaked out from the edge where the large top screws onto the bottle. So, there was a leak somewhere. There wasn't enough force to pull the oil up into the measurement cup due to the leak. The glass bottle that is more suited for balsamic vinegar was fine. I contacted the seller and sent a picture of the issue. The seller sent another set. This time, I tried out the oil bottle with water first to avoid the oily mess. If only I'd had that thought when washing the first set before first use! This set is fine. The oil bottle is actually very nice. It only takes 2 pumps to get up to 1 tablespoon of oil. There were no leaks. The release button to put extra oil back into the bottle works nicely as well. So, when you get your set and are washing out the oil pump bottle before your first use, try it out with water first to see if it works. Do also make sure you take apart the top portion so it can be fully dried out before you add your oil. Don't forget to take off the top little silver lid with the button to release oil back into the bottle. There's a little silicone piece on the inside that I almost didn't notice that had some water trapped in it. That silicone piece comes out as well. It was easy to put back together after I dried it all thoroughly. Just be careful and watch how it all goes together when taking it apart. I did not take out the plastic straw portion from the top piece though. I worried I would not get it back in right, but it was still easy to clean.

So I originally bought this set because I was looking for an olive oil dispenser and wasn't sure what type would be the best so why not buy a set with both options?! (These are a great value for the money btw) Now that I've had them for a few months, I can say my preference is the more traditional dispenser and I don't really care for the one that measures the oil out for you. Reason being, the oil leaks out of that bottle for me :( I hate grabbing the bottle, measuring out the oil (honestly a nice feature) and then having oil drip on my hands from the seal around the middle of the bottle. If it wasn't for the leaks, I'd probably like it a ton more.

When I ordered this set, I wasn't sure what I would use the smaller bottle for but it was perfect for putting Olive Oil that was not Virgin Oil to measure out for making marinades where Virgin Olive Oil has a lower burn temperature. Plus I don't have to use a measuring cup because I can see how many ounces I have used. The larger bottle I use for Virgin Olive Oil for when that type of oil is needed.

the quality is strong and the seal is tight, its not leaking from the cap, as i had in the past with some of the other sellers low quality product
