Red Night Lights Plug in 2 Pack, 0.5W with Dusk to Dawn Sensor, Auto On/Off

I got these nightlights for the sole purpose of seeing in my apartment so I do not bump into things at night, and oh boy do they work! --- I know that this may sound weird but there's some science behind this: Red light is the longest wavelength that the human eye is able to see. Because the wavelength is so long (about 620 - 780 nanometers) it's very low powered and is very soft/easy on the eyeballs when in complete darkness. Due to the low power of the light, that makes the light these LED nightlights produce to be super easy on the eyes and actually helps the human eyes relax in darkness compared to green light or harsh blue light. If you compare that to green light (about 490 - 570 nanometers) or even blue light (440 - 490 nanometers), you can see why it's soft to see in red light than it is in green light or even blue light. Red light has been shown to help improve sleep cycles rather than being exposed to green or blue light, both of which can, and may, disrupt your sleep cycle! My apartment is very small, but because of that, there's a lot of blind corners that are not near a lightswitch that I do not want to bump into and get hurt on! So I decided to buy a few of these so I can see in the darkness without having to turn on my overhead lights and ruin my nightvision when I need to get up to get a drink of water, go into my closet to put a pair of socks on, etc! --- The nightlights say that they use about 0.5 watts of electricity, one half of a watt of power, which I'm inclined to believe. Due to the laws of physics, not a lot of power is required to produce a lot of lower powered light to make it travel far. Disclaimer: You must let your eyes adjust if you plan to use these to see in the dark! Lay down and close your eyes for about 10 minutes or so and keep bright lights away from your eyes so you can allow your pupils to relax and expand! When you get up in the middle of the night, these nightlights, if placed in the proper locations, should be more than enough for you to see at night without having to turn on a brighter light source! The product looks as amazing as it works! The square-shaped diffuser looks really modern and helps illuminate the wall as it does cast the light through the unfrosted edges onto the ground and ceiling around it, allowing for a full 360º ball of red light around it! These nightlights have a rapid response time to the lights going out or coming back on. I'm being as bold to say that they respond almost immediately to the light triggering the unit to turn the red LED on, and shutting it off. If I had to give a response time, maybe less than 10 milliseconds? --- I'm impressed because I've never seen an LED nightlight respond so fast! Overall, this is a very solid product that exceeds my expectations and delivers exactly what I needed with such an elegant design! The plug is non-polarizing too, so you can plug it in upside down as well!

Our new fav nught light. The red light is so nuch better for you when it's dark out. Ypu still have the perfect light to see without waking you up all the way and is way more gentle on your eyes. Fits perfect in outlet like any other night light. Weve had it for a few months now and working amazing and plan to buy more for the whole house.

It is exactly what I expected. A soft warm red light to lighten my bathroom do I csn see at night. It does not keep me awake

I really like the clean look of these night lights but they are almost too bright! The idea is to not get too much light in yours eyes at night because it interferes with getting back to sleep.

Maybe you have heard that blue light is bad for your sleep-wake cycle. That is completely true according to several of my sleep doctors. This night light helps! I have narcolepsy so I have a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep sometimes because my sleep-wake cycle is a dang roller coaster. It is important to have good sleep hygiene which means no blue-light an hour or two before bed. This night light helps you keep blue light out of your eyes late at night especially when you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It throws enough light to see stairs, camouflage cats laying on the floor, and other things in the dark that you don't want to step on or trip over. I put mine on smart timer outlets because I want them to turn off at some point in the night. But the automatic dusk sensor is fantastic alone too. They're thin and don't block the other outlet. Love em!

I Loooove these!!! I had to order more. I dknt like complete darkness and these lights give my room a nice ambience just the right amount of light, and theyre affordable I love them!

Not bad, not great.

I have about 15 of these lights in every outlet in my house. They are a good value for the money, as they are affordable and work great for a few years ago when I got my first set. I like having a red light in all the outlets, so if you wake up at night so can walk around the house without needing to turn lights on. The red color doesn't hurt your night vision, or cause you to not be able to go back to sleep quickly. They need no adjustment all you do is lug in and they sense if its dark and automatically turn on. I like that the led shins into the clear plastic, if you orient it pointing down you get light spread on the floor which is good for walking around.

Excelente compra! Busqué otras opciones pero estaban carísimas; estas tienen un precio súper accesible por el paquete de dos. Cumplen perfecto: el sensor detecta la oscuridad para encenderse y se apagan solas con la luz. Mi hijo puso una en su recámara y otra en el baño para dormir mejor. Muy satisfecha y recomendadas.

Siempre tuve la impresión de qué la luz roja hace daño e incluso se me figuraba a las películas de terror. Pero vi un video donde un médico comentaba los beneficios de la luz roja para el ciclo circadiano y el sueño y como es algo que siempre ha sido complicado para mí, decidí probarlo. Y estoy totalmente sorprendida. Hasta ahora tenía que hacer un ritual de relajación para poderme dormir en las noches. Y lo sigo haciendo porque es bueno para la salud, pero los días que estoy muy cansada para hacerlo y solamente me acuesto pongo la luz roja cerca de mí y estoy impresionada de lo rápido que me quedo dormida. Además, siento que descanso mejor desde que empecé a usarla. Estoy muy contenta de haber hecho este descubrimiento. Pero le doy cuatro estrellas, porque el producto asegura que se prende con el ocaso y se apaga con el amanecer y no sucede ninguna de las dos cosas. La tengo que desconectar y volverla a conectar en las noches.

Hacen su función y el sensor trabajan bien.
