Cheap knock-off of much better grinders
This is a cheap knock-off of much better and trustworthy hand coffee grinders like the Japanese Porlex JP-30. This one is made in China, more than likely by a manufacturer that puts together and brands very low-cost copies of kitchen goods for export to small resellers. I have worries the metals, ceramic and plastics of this grinder may not be food-grade, also that it could break down somehow in the next 6-12 months. The build quality and finish are not high. The bottom bin does not twist off smoothly. The burrs are ceramic but the workmanship seems rough to me. The spring-loaded grind setting gadget, when taken apart for cleaning, is shoddy and clumsy, with small, easily lost bits. Among other things: Gabone Gear has been in business for less than three months. Their website has spelling, syntax and grammar mistakes. I found no hint Gabone Gear's management has any background in kitchenware. In my humble outlook this is not a "premium quality" grinder as headlined.

Useless, a waste of money
Used it twice to grind small amounts of coffee; the third time it seized and the crank could not be turned - disassembled and found that the plastic insert in the ceramic burr, the key piece that turns the burr, no longer functioned. Obviously very poor engineering design and very poor choice of materials. Also, false advertisement: it does not have click setting for choosing the fineness of the grind.Amazon should take note.

It's a neat little grinder. I bought it to use while traveling / camping and it does the job just fine. I use the smallest grind setting for pour over coffee and I'm happy with the results. I would not say this is able to do a proper espresso grind, hence the 4 stars. If I lost it, I would buy it again.

Good little grinder
Good things:- Portable and fits in the tube of an Aeropress- The long outward handle makes it easy to turn the grinder- The handle also goes on without tools and comes off for easy storage- The grind reservoir pops off and fits right into the Aeropress (no spills)- Nice clean stainless steel designConcerns:The core piece of the burr is made of plastic. This is the piece that handles all the stress of the turning and grinding of the beans so I am concerned about its durability in the short and long term. But how well does it grind coffee?:Great! Took about 2 min to grind the amount of beans for an Aeropress. The size of the grinds are a little inconsistent, but that is true for all manual hand grinders as you approach a courser grind. Despite this, it is still above and beyond a blade grinder when you are shopping in this price range. It takes a little tweaking to find the right coarseness that you want. Here are the results I had from trying different "clicks," from left to right 1, 2, and 3 clicks.August 2017 Update:I am still using this grinder everyday at work and the plastic ceramic backing has not failed yet. I've already ordered an "upgraded" ceramic replacement in preparation for the eventuality and I will update when it finally does break. Despite this flaw, I still like this grinder - it grinds my coffee and packs nicely with my aeropress.

Useless junk, because of one stupid decision.
Yes, most of this thing is metal. The burr is ceramic. And yet the originator of this shoddy merchandise ruined it by making the critical drive component out of plastic. When grinding hard coffee beans, it will jam; the shaft simply starts to spin in the plastic piece that mates it to the grinding cone, without turning the cone. Once this happens, it will happen all the time. Cheap pot metal probably would have made this a fine product for PENNIES more.AVOID this product and its many, many clones.
