I got this for my Diagnostic Reading class, and actually enjoyed reading it! From a future teacher, this book has a lot of great information and FREE resources like charts, forms, and stuff in the appendix that you can copy and use in your own classroom!

An excellent tutorial through all the steps of collecting, finding, analyzing,student work. The author also helps you determine the most in Porten and effective goals and make an action plan after conferring with the student. It is a very practical resource perhaps not for your entire class but for those few students who really need some extra attention or intervention.
