Very difficult cube
This is a super cool cube, but very difficult. My husband can solve most cubes, but this one was confusing. If you want a challenge, this is definitely for you! It would be awesome to figure this one out.

Interesting variation
I read some reviews stating that the cube received was not what was pictured. I did not have that problem. The cube I received is a 3x3 puzzle cube with a twisted design. The twist really does make it an interesting puzzle. other than feeling strange in your hand, it does behave like a normal 3x3 cube. The big difference is that to solve the twisted sides, you are not solving one color. In my picture, the center pieces of the cube are two color, and some edge pieces are a single color. This also means that the orientation of the center tiles matters. Two of my pictures illustrate this. The red/green center piece is in the correct position (see the green next to the flat yellow), but it is flipped 180 degrees. I needed to flip that in order to have it be correct. This adds a new dimension to being able to solve the puzzle. For reference, I don't have algorithms or techniques memorized and would not say I'm someone who can solve these puzzles at will. I have decent spatial visual awareness and have been able to solve these puzzles a few times involving some luck. I can consistently get the top third correct, along with "tees" on the sides. Then I can move the final pieces into place one at a time without losing the top, but need a little luck to avoid losing an edge I previously solved. For someone of my abilitiy, I probably don't need to add any more complexity, but it is a cool looking variation. And for about $7, definitely worth it in my opinion.

Breaks apart!
I literally returned this item the next day! As soon as my son started playing with this cube, the pieces started to pop off.

3x3x3 with a twist!
Unlike some previous reviewers, I did get the cube that's pictured in the listing. It's a 3x3x3 cube with a 90-degree twist from top to bottom. This creates some interesting dynamics. It mostly solves like a normal cube, but there are a few differences. First off, it's a bit trickier to remember which tiles are on the same face, but it's easy to infer from the hub centers. The centers are directional and will probably get flipped, so you need to learn the algorithms for rotating center pieces. The edge pieces in the middle of the twist are also interesting - it's possible to get them upside down, but you can't tell that they're upside down just by looking at them since they're rotationally symmetric. You might want to pencil mark them at first until you get the hang of it. If you don't have them right, then the top layer just won't resolve to a familiar pattern.I found this to be a good step-up challenge from a regular cube without being as difficult as a 4x4x4 cube. It's definitely a conversation starter when someone sees it. It's a bit difficult to manipulate due to the shape - especially when the tiny edge pieces get next to the large side of a corner. The hubs have caps that pop off to reveal tension adjustment screws. This is a good gift for someone who already knows their way around a standard cube, but probably not as a first cube.

Fun "warped" 3x3 cube
This is like a traditional 3x3 cube, but stretched out. The solve algorithms are the same and so is the internal mechanism. This is, if nothing else, a nice display piece or conversation starter.

honestly pretty boring
got this to try out in place of a fidget toy, not really what its use is but I figured I'd give it a try. Not for me, looks cool, I gifted it to my nephew to add to his cube collection.

Ooh like old school but with a twist
This is a good stickerless (ie no cheating) cube! I'm Gen X and was a tween when rubix cube came out, so this is a call to the past for me. Even better, my 13 year old nephew loves cheating, and this one doesn't give any way to cheat! This will be a favorite on the next family vacation.
