I have had the units for two months and it does block data transfer. The main problem is that I used apps that use a lot of power. Using this in my vehicle the unit will charge at a slow rate and often will be depleted by thirty to fifty percent after four hours.

The seller offered a full refund, which I received, it was my fault I ordered the incorrect type, but at the time the type I needed, but wasn't sure which one I needed, was not available. I ordered the C to C type, but needed A to A type, but I wasn't sure what type my devices used, so I ordered what I "thought" was correct, turned out I purchased the incorrect type.Seller offered full refund, which was credited back to my account used to purchase them with.So the 5-Star rating isn't so much of a review of the product, as I couldn't really test them with my devices, but for the seller in making this a great experience and offering a full refund. And in doig so, I can recommend buying from this seller, and I will do so again, if they have an item I need,So that's why this review has changed from 1-Star to 5-Stars, I managed to get the correct type I did need, unfortunately not from this seller, so I know the devices work, as the A-A type I needed are doing exactly what they were designed to do. I'm sure these C to C types also do their job just as well, but since my cell phones and other data devices didn't have C USB style ports, I couldn't really plug them in to anything to check them out, but the seller offering the full refund tells me they do care very much about their customers, past, present and future and that is why I would recommend folks purchase from these folks, I know I will.

This works great for what I needed - it allows me to plug my Magsafe charger into the USB port on my car audio head unit without the unit trying to establish a data connection. The charger still works fine to charge the phone (though I can't speak to whether it's fast charging or not - the head unit doesn't say how much power it provides over its USB-C port and the phone doesn't have any indication of how fast it's charging). Now I no longer have to see the "Unsupported USB device detected" message every time I turn on my car! Thanks Honwally :)

These seem to be the best way to protect your device from intrusion via charging in a wall socket. Other types of data blockers with multiple paths ie. The different types of USB as well as a connection to allow data to pass through are flawed do to this functionality and are compromisable. These data blockers seem very reliable but if you detect any abnormal behavior on a device I would recommend resetting your device immediately and replace data blockers and always keep a backup on hand, to keep your life running smoothly. Remember if you are compromised long enough it my become impossible to recover your life. Make sure you act quickly to protect yourself.

Doubles the charging time, so the Sansung S22 actually looses charge while the GPS is operating. Don't waste your money.

I purchased mine primarily to prevent juice jacking. Many people will plug their smart devices into a public USB recharge port without knowing if it's safe. This device protects against that possibility.I've tested mine and all of my four USB-C devices charge at the rate of the outlet being used. I mistakenly washed one of mine twice which didn't affect the function (I'm not recommending you wash yours!).The peace of mind is worth the price!

When charging via public outlets, work or even at home this little device is a must. No data leaks etc I've tried ;-)
