Q: Can the handle be reused with a replacement pumie stick?

It would depend upon how you could attach it. I find I have to press pretty hard with the current pumice stone to remove stains. Once the pumice stone has been used up, not sure you could take the plastic handle and attach to another stone. Probably not worth the effort. Just buy a new Pumie.

Q: Is it abrasive? If the surface is not smooth anymore the ring will build up faster and you have to clean more frequently.

It is not abrasive in that sense. You only use it wet, and the water acts as a lubricant, so to speak. It doesn't scratch the porcelain's surface. I was totally surprised at how well this worked to get rid of hard water rings in my toilets. Having never had hard water before, I was dismayed at what it did to my toilets. I thought I would just have to live with it until I discovered the "magic" of Pumice.

Q: How long can the product be used?

You may use this product with lots of water whenever it is needed to remove toilet rings. I’ve even used it on oven stains that are difficult to remove with standard oven cleaners.

Q: Does it scratch the toilet porcelain? I’ve heard to be cautious of this

No ma'am. I've been told that you could use a brick and it wouldn't scratch porcelain. I've never tried the brick, but I've used the pumice stone for almost long as I've been married, which is 51 years. It just takes elbow grease.
