I assume this is mango butter…that has been left in a warehouse for at least 5 years before being delivered to me. I bought this much to make gifts for my boyfriend, and his family. As well as my own personal use. Yes, it does indeed moisturize. So the base requirement is fulfilled. But this stuff has to be the work quality mango butter I’ve ever purchased. It’s hard as flint, smells like absolutely nothing. And even when the plug in tools come to the rescue to mix it. It still won’t soften to something pleasing. I have it three stars because, it’s technically mango butter, and it moisturizes well enough. But I’m taking stars away from the rest. On the upside, you could keep it by your front door like a brick to beat intruders with!

It is pretty hard. I’m hoping that it softens buy the time I get ready to make my body butters. I don’t want to have to beat it to make it come out!!!! It has absolutely no fragrance which is awesome. I just need it to soften so I can get it out of the jar.

Same company, but totally different batch and quality this time. I love Mango Butter, and use it in almost all of my herbal salves and creams. But this most recent jar is very very hard and dense. Almost rock solid. It is extremely hard to " dig" out of the container. Maybe this is usually how it is, and my last jar, of lovely, soft, fresh Mango Butter was unusual??! I dunno. I can't wait to finish this jar, as it is a struggle to work with it. I have never returned any butters or oils bought thro Amazon, but if I ever get a jar like this last one, I certainly will.In the meantime, I shall struggle through, bend some spoons and hope the next jar is better.

Purchased this tub and was excited to do so. So disappointed when opened the bottle. The stuff is like cement and hard to get out. I gave up and went to my local mall and purchased some

Excellent value for the price. Mango butter is is very moisturizing. Unlike Shea butter, it eventually absorbs completely in the skin as opposed to just staying on top.
