Blue Sea Systems LED Indicator Lights

These perfectly fit the Blue Sea Systems electrical control panel in our camping trailer. They were easy to install to replace three of the original indicator lamps that were burned out. The price was very fair for these hard-to-find lamps, with fast Prime shipping. I'm very happy with the purchase. Those reviewers who complain that this LED is not bright enough should perhaps realize that this indicator is intended for a specific application to fit Blue Sea System circuit breaker panels. In this application you are standing very close to the panel when you turn a breaker on or off. The lamp only serves to indicate that voltage is passing through the breaker. This is not something a person normally looks at very often. This LED is an appropriate size and brightness for this kind of application. It is not easy to find small self-contained LED indicator lamps that connect directly across a 120 volt AC line the way this one does. All LED bulbs operate on low DC voltage, and 120 VAC must be rectified and down converted. This makes this a rather special indicator.

Bought 2 for 120VAC and 1 for 24VAC. Works perfectly. It was easy to fit them snugly in the thin metal cover plate, just had to find a proper drill bit. Plus, they were the smallest LED lights I could find. Hope they will work for a long time. I don’t understand how come some people complain about brightness. They are not for illumination, they are indicator lights, and fulfill that purpose perfectly. All three give about equally bright light, can’t miss it in a brightly lit room, see the photo.

I have a weird jerry-rigged gas fireplace that was converted from a regular fireplace by the previous owners. They set up a duplex switch: one to control the ignition and gas, and the other to turn on the blower. Whenever dealing with natural gas I prefer an illuminated pilot light style switch to clearly indicate the On and Off positions, but they don't seem to make those in duplex switches. So, I converted a standard duplex switch to indicate when either switch is On, and I love it! The perfect tiny size to easily place wherever you need without being obstructive (in my case right in the wall plate itself), and perfect brightness to clearly see from across my living room in the light, but also not overpoweringly bright in the dark (since this is my movie room after all!), and also aids in finding the switch you want in the dark. Very pleased with how these turned out.

The LED works fine for my application. I'm using it as an indicator light on the dash to remind me if I forget to turn off an accessory. If you're looking for a really bright light, you'll want to look elsewhere. This LED is rather dim in a 12v automotive setting, which in my case is better than a distracting super bright LED. So keep in mind your intended application when deciding whether or not to order. I really like the compact size- neat and clean install in a 11/64" hole.

I was looking for a small LED i could wire in to let me know my fan was on. Out of quite a bit of research i settled on this and I'm quite happy I did. The upside is that it is really small. The downside as some might find is the led is not nearly as bright but that is subjective b/c I don't want a bright led bulb that will blind me either at night. For me this is a perfect product. The resistor is soldered on the end of the wire and thus you have to keep the bend radius in mind if you plan to put it in a very tight spot. The led fades in and out which is pleasant as opposed to a momentary on/off led. Overall good product and will order again if need be.

Used this on a battery maintainer panel I am building for my old pickup truck.. so i can just plug it in via a weatherproof receptacle mounted on the front or the truck and forget about it. This indicator tells me if it's plugged in or not; easy to install and worked like a charm.. and the 120V Amber LED Indicator... 11/64th mounting hole and it popped right in. There is a in line resistor pre-wired.. there are other specs included. it was only a couple dollars after using some reward points :)

work great as long as installed horizonal if they get in a down position they fill with water/rain ours got knocked over and rain got inside that night

We own a whole-house generator and knowing the starting battery is being charged and is being kept warm gives peace of mind. The battery compartment within the generator housing is very small and difficult to service the battery. (See photo) You have to remove the front panel to do any kind of service. During the winter months, in the upper Midwest, it gets very cold – Originally, I put a battery pad heater (cold weather kit, by the generator manufacture) under the enclosed battery but had no way of telling if the battery was being warmed in cold weather – only when the generator did not start would tell me the battery was so cold it would not crank it up. I engineered a remote starting system with visual indication to give me peace of mind knowing I have battery power available when needed. I purchase a battery box, 6-foot battery leads, a 2-plug thermostat with a temperature probe, a 120-volt, 60-watt heater pad, a 12-volt, smart battery charger, insulation and two of these Blue Sea Systems 120V AC LED lights – one red, one green. I use the green LED to indicate if I have power to the power strip and the red LED to indicate when the heater is being powered (turned-on). Now, with a glance out the window, I know when the battery is being warmed and the power strip has power to it.

I live year round in an RV and wanted to know when my tiny 5 gal hot water tank is still heating the water and when the water is at hot as it is going to get. This little light was the perfect solution. It comes on while the water is heating and shuts off when the water is hot. Surprisingly small, which you don't see in the picture they supply.

Not many 120V AC LED indicators to choose from on Amazon. This one is small and worked perfectly for my application.

I have it installed on my panel to ensure the polarity is correct, some times marinas wire up the docks wrong and have the common hot.
