Accurate, portable, easy to use, well worth it!
I took a chance with the 40mhz version and I am extremely happy with this unit. It's super portable, accurate, and easy to use. Perfect for field use. Doesn't have as many features of bench tops, but that's not it's point. Pitted against my certified calibrated Fluke 789 (voltage accuracy test), this thing is on the mark accurate. As stated by others, when in auto range, it's slow to settle, but when locked in a range, it's nice and snappy. This will perform just fine for troubleshooting in the field, mainly for discovering intermittent DC voltage drops/issues with industrial equipment and sensors (something DMMs can't do). Although the DMM test leads it comes with are worthless, those are easily replaced with better built leads. The probes are good, no picture but it performed well when connected to my signal generator with a 1-40Mhz sweep, begins to struggle a bit above 35Mhz, but that's beyond the scope of my needs for it in the field. Although it's ability to survive an industrial setting is yet to be determined, I'll take my chances and just treat it with care. For the price you can't beat it.

Great value, good accuracy for the money
This is a fantastic portable do-it-all device. I purchased the Hds272s. The scope is accurate in my testing to +/-0.16% frequency, and +/-2% voltage. These are at some of the most difficult cases within spec: high frequency (50Mhz) and low voltage (200mV). I don't need more accuracy than that, although I understand a lot of people might. You won't do much better than that in this form factor, though.Addressing one of the complaints I see in the reviews, the auto set for the scope IS somewhat slow, around 1-2 seconds. Not as bad as the other reviews made it out to be, though. Once again, I don't need it to be faster than that, but if you're someone who takes a lot of measurements at different scales that could be more of a problem for you.The one serious complaint is the shared ground between the oscilloscope and USB port. If your reference ground is not earth ground, this could cause serious damage to a computer plugged into the port or to you if you touch it. There is a dust cover that prevents contact with the port while closed, but isolation would've been appreciated. The case is good, but doesn't have enough room to hold all of the accessories that come with the scope. That's fine with my setup, I also carry a case of multimeter cables separately. I'm able to fit two probes, one BNC-alligator, the BNC-BNC cable, the USB-C cable, and the USB adapter in the case - everything I'll need to use the AWG and scope features. The multimeter has a fused ammeter, an advantage over the competition in this space. It lacks induction measurement, but otherwise meets what I'd expect from a basic multimeter. It lacks some of the other functions of my primary meter, such as temperature measurement and NCV, but you aren't buying this to be a multimeter.Overall, I highly recommend this if you need a portable scope (or even just a basic scope in general) as long as you understand its limitations and the safety implications of the common ground.

A fair price for a fair product. I like it.
This product offers all that I need now for electronics repairs. I exclusively used a Fluke Scopemeter for over 20 years and when it eventually reached the end of its life, I no longer had the need for a professional quality unit, as I was semi-retired. This item fits the bill perfectly for my current, less demanding needs.A couple of minor quibbles are firstly, it really should come with a hard case, not the cheapie, padded, zip-up one supplied, which offers almost zero protection when in the field. Secondly, most people will use this item primarily using the meter probes, so there should be a removable cover over the scope BNC connectors, like the one covering the charging port, as these semi-recessed connectors are easily damaged and get full of dust and debris. The supplied test leads and scope probes are of average quality, but do their job fine. The scope probes are a tad flimsy and are not designed to be used regularly, but the test leads are more robust and should be good for a few years' of regular use.I have no regrets buying this item. It performs well and it good value for money. What more can you ask?
