Better than Navitas and all other cashews I ever had.
I have bought quite a few cashews of different brands (planters, navitas, trader joe, kirkland, etc.) from different stores during the last 12 months. If you only had roasted cashews before, I recommend giving raw cashews a try, because they carry a very pleasant creamy sweetness, which will be lost during the roasting process. If you like raw cashews but not quite sure whether these reasonably priced 5lbs raw cashews are fresh and well packaged, what I can say to you is among the raw cashews I have ever tried, so far these are the best. Except for much lower price, the most noticeable difference between these cashews and Navitas is that these cashews have much more "creamy sweetness". I guess this is because they have never been heated during the production process. And you can actually taste a hint of fresh bitterness in these nuts, which can not be found in Navitas cashews. There are some not so good aspects of these nuts (small size, a few broken ones, very few stale ones), but I think they are still quite qualified for five stars. I wish you can have a better bag!

Delicious, Great Quality, and Great Value!
I've been using a lot of raw cashews in my Fuhrman's Eat for Health recipes and also love to snack on them after exercise or when going on long hikes. I had been purchasing Navitas, but when their price when up significantly I had to look for a different option. After lots of research and reading lots of reviews over several weeks I decided to try these. I like them even better than Navitas and what a great value! The cashews are large, raw, and simply amazing. They come in a large, sturdy, resealable bag, but I portioned them out in 1 lb packages and keep the extras in the refrigerator until I'm ready for them. I'm so glad I discovered these. I've just ordered another bag and am hoping these quality cashews will stick around at this great price.

Don't like the taste.
I don't think they were bad or spoiled, but I just didn't like the flavor of these. Nativa brand tastes a lot better. They were so bad that I tossed them. I tried roasting some, but I didn't have much luck with that, either.

Ordered 5lbs, received 4.10oz
I ordered the 5lb bag and I weighed it, I received 4.10 oz, not the full 5lbs I paid for. That's a full 1 1/2 cups missing. The cashews are mostly whole and seem fine. They taste a little bland. It came in a gallon size ziplock bag. It's not sealed off in any way. That didn't really matter to me. I personally won't be ordering again because I feel that I've been had because of the weight that was advertised and what I actually received. That's just bad business.

Good organic cashews
Good organic cashews. They seem to be pretty fresh and most have remained whole despite coming all the way from Viet Nam! Someone pointed out that while they say "organic," they do not say "Certified Organic." Can anyone confirm that they really are certified? This 5 lb. bag has gone up in price and shipping. I had to go to the 8 lbs. bag and split with friends to get the $7.25 price again.

Love it!
Organic, very tasty, and also healthy. Cashews are high in calories. 100 g of nuts provide 553 calories. They are packed with soluble dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals and numerous health-promoting phyto-chemicals that help protect from diseases and cancers. They are rich in “heart-friendly” monounsaturated-fatty acids like oleic, and palmitoleic acids. These essential fatty acids help lower harmful LDL-cholesterol while increasing good HDL cholesterol. Research studies suggest that Mediterranean diet, which is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids help to prevent coronary artery disease and strokes by favoring healthy blood lipid profile. Cashew nuts are very rich source of essential minerals. Minerals, especially manganese, potassium, copper, iron, magnesium, zinc and selenium are concentrated in these nuts. A handful of cashew nuts a day in the diet would provide enough of these minerals and prevent deficiency diseases. Selenium is an important micronutrient, which functions as a co-factor for antioxidant enzymes such as Glutathione peroxidases, one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body. Copper is a cofactor for many vital enzymes, including cytochrome c-oxidase and superoxide dismutase (other minerals function as co-factors for this enzyme are manganese and zinc). Zinc is a co-factor in many enzymes that regulate growth and development, sperm generation, digestion and nucleic acid synthesis. Cashews are also rich in many essential vitamins such as pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B-6), riboflavin, and thiamin (vitamin B-1). 100 g nuts provide 0.147 mg or 32% of daily-recommended levels of pyridoxine. Pyridoxine reduces the risk of homocystinuria, and sideroblastic anemia. Niacin helps prevent "pellagra" or dermatitis. Additionally, these vitamins are essential for metabolism of protein, fat, and carbohydrates at cellular levels. Further, the nuts are also containing a small amount of zea-xanthin, an important pigment flavonoid antioxidant, which selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea in the eyes. It is thought to provide antioxidant and protective UV ray filtering functions and helps prevent age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) in the elderly. GO ORGANIC!

Good Price on a Good Product
I spread these cashews on a baking sheet, sprinkle them with a little freshly ground Himalayan salt and roast them (carefully watched to prevent burning) in a convection oven at 300-325 degrees about 15-20 minutes, stirring once to even the cooking. They are my husband's go to snack to prevent his turning into a bear if he cannot wait for dinner, so they must always be on hand. These arrived in good order and seemed fresh. Organic cashews for $10 a pound seemed a good buy.
