TCL Flip Pro Slate Gray Basic Flip Phone (Verizon)

If you are looking for a smartphone this isn't it. But honestly this is a nice little phone with a lot of modern amenities like navigation. My parents are older and can't handle a smartphone but this has nice battery life, nice sound levels and if you just want a phone to make and take calls, this has you covered. Don't let the negative reviews get you. This is a good phone.

This flip phone turned on and charged up but could not be activated. I will try taking it to my local Verizon store, but huge hassle--and not even sure they can get it to work!!!

It's not as dumb as me

My 87 year old father went from a flip phone to an iPhone 12. Needless to say, he wanted to go back to a flip phones a few months later. So I got him this phone. I was able to just switch out the SIM card from the iPhone to this and it worked. Fairly simple to use. The directional pad is a little tuff to navigate because you have to push the very edge of the ring to move around, which is hard for the elderly with shaky fingers. Also, there didn’t appear to be an easy way to transfer contacts from the iPhone to this phone. A lot of phones have a Bluetooth sync function for this, but this one did not seem to have that. Had to enter all his contacts in manually.

this is perfect. gives me the opportunity to take some time away from social media without compromising not having a phone. Love!

The phone is advertised as a Verizon phone and even says Verizon on it. However it wouldn’t accept my Verizon SIM card. My local Verizon retailer said the phone is locked to a different service provider(he didn’t know which one). DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT TO USE VERIZON AS YOUR PROVIDER.
