Candlewick Press (MA) Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever

I bought this for my three year old granddaughter. She loved the story and I read it to her several times over the holiday. What surprised me was that my one year old granddaughter loved it even more. The story was a little long for her at this point but she just adored the pictures and an abbreviated version of this tale. She brought it to me probably 30 times over the course of the holidays. Set to be a holiday classic in our family. Actually it may be more than a holiday classic as our one year old won’t let her mother put it away. The art is wonderful!

for my 2.5 yr old and future reading with my current 6 month. this one is going to be a magical favourite. at least it is for me. the book arrived today, I read it to my 6 month old to sample it (as it's intended for our 2.5 yr old) and the book gave my warm goosebumps and tears to my eyes. I'm not a particularly emotional person (though Beauty & the Beast can make me cry at the end when Mrs.Potts sings 'tale as old as time'). this book has tapped into a prequel we didn't know we were missing. it's absolutely spectacular and magical with a hint of humour. I highly recommend
