As anticipated. Worth the purchase.
I normally use cut dowels. But needed some 8mm for a table top. I like the groves. Allowed the glue to stay in the holes. I will purchase additional sizes for future projects.

Excellent. Precise fluting of dowels.
Size is just what I wanted. I don't have to cut long dowels into short pieces to support another level. Length of each is accurate.

Worked Great
These dowels worked great. I used them when building a large doll house

NOT the size advertised!!
A generous sampling of the “1/2” dowels suggested to me that the picture you have of the digital caliper reading is staged. Caliper was set to .5” and the dowel put in the jaws. None of the ones I measured are more than .473”. Come on…!!

These are not to tight nor too loose. Exactly what I want from dowel pins.
