Q: Is there enough room to fit two kids' hands? (my kids are 4 and 2 years old)

No~only one hand will fit. My grandbabies were 8 & 4 and I don't see enough room for the 2 year old's hand on my 4 year old grandson's stone.

Q: I have an 11-year old grandson. He has large hands. Would his hands fit on the stone?

His hand should definetly fit but he might have to place the stones a little differently than around the edges. The square is about 9" x 9" so you can measure a piece of paper and decide that way. My hand fit and I wear an extra large glove!

Q: Can you use a protective spray coating on the finished stone? What kind? Will this preserve it for siting outside?

I used a water based concrete sealer. Small spray bottle a bit costly but well worth it, beads water (rain). I picked the sealer at Home Depot.
