I received a defective gun that would not seal the can of foam. When I screwed the can on, the foam started leaking out from the attachment point. I tried tightening the can, to no avail. I wasn’t sure what the problem was until I screwed my can of foam gun cleaner into the gun and it leaked from the exact same spot. So I returned it and asked for a refund, but not before it ruined a $15 can of foam and disrupted my work schedule by causing me to have to stop and drive to a big box store to buy the Great Stuff pro gun.

So far so good. no leak and hold the seal for long time. The product is solid enough for professionals or weekend worriers. Even for me using this foam gun occasionally, it saved me the money for not having to throw away the unfinished home version of foam can if not used with day or two. With this gun, I can use the 24oz pro foam can here and there when ever I need it. The gun trigger is smooth without any mess. The metal control knob is nice for volume adjustments. It comes with couple plastic extensions over the metal wand to reach deep space. Few tips for using this gun:1. Do not remove the can once is screwed onto the gun.2. In between use - just dip it into a small bottle of acetone and wipe the tip clean. Keep the bottle seal tight after.3. Use GREAT STUFF PRO Dispensing Gun Cleaner in between can..

I'd recommend this gun over the canned spray foam with a straw but not over other guns. As you can see in the picture the Teflon coating is peeling off and it's not from abuse either. When your can has less than a quarter left this gun makes it unnecessarily difficult to adjust. To turn down the pressure you have to turn the adjustment about halfway before it even starts reduce the output and the same with increasing it! The gun does what it's supposed to do but there are much better options out there that are cheaper.

I used this with OSI quad foam and worked great for sealing around my windows. Such a pleasure being able to start and stop easily compared to using a spray can with the straw. The other big benefit is being able to dial down the flow so you can put a smaller bread in a small area. This gun also includes a couple plastic nozzles which allow you to get into these smaller areas.

I like the spray foam gun, and it works better and is more rugged and higher quality than the one from my local store. Also, I like the fact that the on/off, flow adjustment knob is easy to turn or adjust with one hand, and is near the trigger and not sticking out the back end of the gun.
