Occasionally we've given melatonin to our children for the late nights where they seem to still be wired from extra activites. The brand we usually use is a chewable mint and is 500mcg.This product is fun as a gummy bear and the FLAVOR is pretty tasty (all of mine liked it). However, I am glad I checked and compared the dose. This product is 1mg. That is equal to 1000mcg. My older children were used to 500mcg. This means I am having to cut each gummy in half in order for them to have the right dose. I even have to cut a half in half for my younger children. It's not a huge hassle to do so and the gummies are not too THICK to cut with kitchen scissors.Also, I have a concern that the bottle does not have a childproof cap and is specifically a product that says it's for children.**This review contains my personal opinion and experience using this supplement. I bought this product when my twin toddler boys were starting to turn on the lights and play with toys at bedtime. I knew that I needed to do something to help them break this bad habit that was causing them to not get the recommended hours of sleep they should get each night. I noticed without sleep, their behavior started changing. We had more tantrums, more crankiness, more melt downs. I talked to my Dr. and he recommended children's melatonin for a short period of time to help regulate their sleep schedule. I bought these gummies and they were a lifesaver! I gave them to the boys a half hour before bedtime, then by the time they needed to be asleep to get the rest their little bodies needed, they were conked out. Their behavior became so much better in the days because they were getting what their bodies were craving to be healthy and happy boys. I only needed these for a short amount of time to get the kids back into healthy habits, but I know that if they slip again, I will definitely use these to help them get good rest at night.

The flavor is odd. My kids wont eat them so i use them. I think they work good. I mean you cant expect this supplement to make your kids sleep and never wake up until morning. That is not the purpose of it. It is just to chill them out and help them fall asleep faster. It works for and i only take 3mg total and i am 39 years old

This a great natural product for my kids. They enjoy the taste and they even remind me when i forget to give it to them at night. The only thing I can say is that it definitely varies from kid to kid. My oldest is 9 and it seems to work like a charm. My youngest however, is 3 and even though she takes it, she seems to have a hard time staying asleep through the night and often times wakes up in the middle of the night, and cranky the morning of. Hard to tell if that is the product or a stubborn kid Lol :) But I am pleased with the product so far.

They work wonderfully !!So I have trouble sleeping myself, but find other melatonin products to be too strong for me. When I saw this product, melatonin for kids, I figured I should give it a try myself. If it is safe for kids, it should be fine for me too. Tried the product for a week, eating one gummy as I begin my nightly bed time routine, and by the time I lay down, I definitely do feel the effects of the melatonin ! The drowsiness hits me so much smoother and “calmer” than the higher “adult” melatonin doses. I don’t wake up through the night, nor do I wake up feeling drowsy, or feeling like I need more sleep.Even the flavor is great ! Tastes of a sweet honeyish gummy. I am definitely going to be recommending this to my cousins who have children, ages 8 and 11, who have trouble staying asleep.
