Does this digital angle gauge heavy?

It is not heavy at all. In fact the magnet attached to the base is very string and holds the unit in place as it should.

Will this measure absolute level without zeroing the digital readout (on the digital readout, not the bubble level)?

It remembers absolute zero between power on / off. It does have a calibrate function. This thing is pretty accurate. I have compared the measure reading to a machinist's level, PASS!
