These keep our toothbrushes constantly wet if brushing twice daily. Won't that lead to mold & bacteria buildup?

To help combat excess wetness within the Steripod container, we recommend shaking off any excess water from your toothbrush and storing your toothbrush standing up versus horizontal.

How is this antibacterial?

The “chemical” people say it “leaks” is the same antibacterial ingredient found in mouthwash. It’s inside the little colored plastic part, in the form of a solid gel. I’ve never had it liquify but I suspect people who are reporting that have soaked it in water or something, which you shouldn’t do. My family of four have used Steripods for years. You know that funk a toothbrush gets after a couple of weeks? We don’t get that at all using Steripods. Our toothbrushes actually last three months like they’re supposed to.

Can the filters be replaced? Or do you have to buy a new steripod each time?

Hi, thank you for your question about Steripod Clip-On Toothbrush Protector, Green and Blue, 2 Count. The pod should be replaced every 90 days as the active ingredient weakens over time once opened. We do not offer replacement tablets for the Steripod.
