Hitachi Inspire Series Conveyor Type Double Pitch Roller Chains are manufactured in accordance with the ASME/ANSI B29.4 American Roller Chain standard. In general they are dimensionally similar to the base ASME/ANSI B29.1 Transmission Type Roller Chains except that the pitch is double and the side plates possess straight (rather than a figure-8) contours. Conveyor Type Double Pitch Roller Chains are available with standard (small) rollers or large (carrier) rollers. Standard roller models often slide on a conveyor track in service while the large (carrier) roller models roll on a conveyor track reducing friction and power consumption. These chains offer solid bushings and rollers, a patented high energy mechanical pin treatment, and specially coated link plates to increase strength, improve wear life and minimize initial elongation. Packaged chains are pre-lubricated with a high quality rust prevent oil and come with a necessary connecting link to join the ends. Connecting links are available with spring clips or cotter pins for ease of assembly. Offset links (used to shorten or lengthen a chain strand by 1 pitch) are also available and sold separately. Offset Link pins possess flats to prevent pin rotation in service and allow for easy hand assembly.
