Marmot Women Wm's Chelsea Coat New, Warm, Insulated Hooded Winter Coat, Windproof Down Parka, Lightweight Packable Outdoor Jacket

i have the montreal coat which is super warm and really long mind you I am only 5ft only down fall with this coat isnt waterproof. Saw this and thought bingo. Although not tried it yet in cold weather it has the save fill power as the Montreal coat so should be equally as war. I have however been out with it on during heavy downpour and it kept me absolutely dry. It is one inch shorter than the Montreal which is fine. The hood isnt really deep and to be honest fur trim is a no no in wet weather but both the trim and hood are detachable. That is the only negativity I could say about this coat.

Nice dark olive color.I bought size Small and it fits nicely with jumper on. I normally wear size 8 or 10 depends on designer. The only negative thing is the hood a bit too tight. I got the feathers occasionally sticking out or stuck onto my trouser.water repellent works fine, although haven't wore it on downpour rain, but been caught up on drizzling rain and the coat is still dry inside. I'm petite 5'4" (160cm), the coat just above my knees. So I wish they made this coat about 10cm longer or so.

I bought this to replace an existing one which has been wonderful and kept me warm and cosy through several winters as I feel the cold very easily. There is very little difference between the new one the old model so I'm hoping this will be just as good. The sizes are on the small side, I'm a size 10 (and 5ft tall) but bought a medium which fits just fine with a jumper underneath. My old coat was water repellent but after a few washes even with appropriate re-proofing wash, it did loose it's repellency but I was willing to sacrifice this for the warmth factor, perhaps the new one will do better in this respect. I don't like the fur around the hood but this is easily removable. Would highly recommend this coat for anyone who feels the cold.

My wife was traveling to the Arctic Circle for a winter holiday. The temperature outdoors was below zero consistently but she did not feel the cold. It was important to remove the coat in heated shops or the coat’s insulation meant the body overheats. An excellent product suitable for really cold areas.

It is OK and the coat fits. I am a regular 18 and although I have a Marmot Montreal coat which is an XXL the Chelsea fits fine. The Dark Olive is a disappointing muddy non descript brown colour. The hood is a rather peculiar fit. It comes well over your face with the fur trim but take it off and the hood is quite small and shallow. I am swithering whether to return it even though I bought it for the magical price of £100.
