Must say this item really works, my last one has lasted 8yrs with no frozen pipe, and only changed due to replacing the tap. There are cheaper solutions but they don’t work. Easy to install and it does insulate the tap. Really happy 😊

This looks neat. When I look over to it though, sometimes the part that goes over the spout has come off (it's attached, so it doesn't get lost and I can put it back but I might not always notice it in the winter). There are a lot of birds around it as it's next to the hedge, and the tap leaks a bit so I suspect that this combination is causing it to happen. I'd like to be able to fix it more firmly.

Third of these that I have bought. Apart from the caps they are made of an expanded foam and you fit using sharp pointed clips that just dig into the foam (like a chunky staple). After a few years this damages the foam so you may need to replace. This might seem to make them expensive but they fit so well and are extremely neat and tidy I think they are well worth it.

The insulation worked but the green covers that hold the lagging together spent their life falling off and getting lost OK for the money but not a lot of thought went into how these would fare in use

Tis is a repurchase, they have always worked well in the coldest winters. !
