VERY satisfied with DR. MODE clippers!
I have a problem with loss of sensation in my hands, making it very difficult to control normal clippers accurately. I ordered these with a bit of worry because Amazon doesn't seem to sort reviews according to model and brand, making it hard to see whether the review pertains to the clippers you are looking at. Also, I have no experience with them.Anyway, I took a chance and ordered hat looked to be the sturdiest and easiest to use.I am NOT disappointed. They arrived very quickly. And I am very pleased with the look and feel of them. They are very sturdy, and I have no worries about them breaking or bending. I used them for the first time last night, and though they took a bit of time to get use to handling, they do the job very well. In fact, I'm certain that they will be easier to use with practice. I recommend these to anyone who, like me, has trouble with handling this particular task.

Delivers on Clean Cuts, Easy to Hold and Depress, Quality Tool
I never thought I'd get excited over a nail clipper, but here I am, just that. These Dr. Mode head cutting adjustable clippers are made so well. They are heavy and designed to balance when held, along with a texture on the handle that provides great grip. They are very easy to depress and cut through even thicker nails, like toenails, with ease. I have been able to get a clean straight cut without having to press hard or start and stop due to an inferior cutting edge. These are sharp! The ability to pivot the top cutting edge makes it easier for me as I'm able to get under the nail from the side which gives me greater visibility in placing the nail clippers in the proper position before cutting.I do wish that they were slightly longer in length due to my mobility issues and a bit wider on the cutting edge. I find that for all my toes, except my big toe, I'm able to cut them with one press. For my big toe, I need to cut through a few times in a row, not for thickness, but to address the length in order to tackle the whole nail. Other than that, I love the clippers and really appreciate the drawstring bag, tin case, and nail file that's included.I have posted some photos to give you a closer look at this product and hope that they, along with my experience, help you out a bit with your choice. Thank you!

Exploded Into Useless Pieces In 2 Years
Purchased July 2022. Today, July 31, 2024, while clipping fingernails, the unit simply exploded in my hand with pieces all over.I believe the failure is where the upper lever connects to the post that goes through the cutter head.I searched in vain for missing parts that might connect the post and lever, but can't find the parts. It appears the upper lever, made of some cast metal, must have had tiny molded-in pins, which broke off, allowing the entire assembly to fly apart, irreparably. The clipper is now useless. Poor design at its most stressed point. This is quite the engineering accomplishment: How many nail clippers have you *ever* owned that self-destructed during use? Bueller? Bueller? No one? Ever? This is a first.UPDATE: Not one to give up without a fight, I drilled a tiny hole through both the upper lever and the post that looks like a rivet, and inserted a shortened 5d finish nail in as a pivot rod. Success! For two days.Today, 8-4-24, I trimmed a fingernail and literally the head of the post departed the post. The nail held fine. The "rivet/post" fell apart. Apparently, the post is cast chinesium mystery metal also. This clipper/trimmer is the absolute worst personal grooming tool I have ever owned. DRMODE is OFF THE LIST.

Strong, smooth operating, safe to use
I had a clipper "like" this but with a plastic bottom section. When the plastic snapped in my hand one day, I went shopping for something sturdier. This was what I got, and I LOVE it! It is strong enough, I think, for the toughest nail. But unlike my old one, which snapped shut when squeezed, this one is under full control all the way. So if I somehow manage to trap a bit of skin between the jaws, I will know instantly when the cutting edge touches it, and can reposition it. Oh, and it does have a swivel head, although I have not found it necessary so far. It also comes with a small, rasp-type file for smoothing jagged edges or corners before smoothing with a sapphire file--very useful.
