This is a perfectly compatible module and replaces the CD changer with USB input, Bluetooth connectivity with a Mic installed on the driver pillion, and 2.5mm input jack. You will need to have this professionally installed or have the know-how to remove the radio, unplug the CD changer, plug this in, and discreetly install it in the dash panel behind the radio, connect a ground, route the mic cable up to a mounting point on the door side, or such, and then reset the radio settings if the factory radio sees the modification as tampering. (Radio reset not likely)If you have a tech, or are handy with vehicle electronics and trim panels, this is very easy.The unit works perfectly.

The new beetle headunit has driven me mad! Finding a headunit that curves like the beetles should be easier but it's not. All I wanted was bluetooth and this product delivered, about 200 dollars less than what I was going to buy. Works perfectly with the stock headunit, sounds great, and seems to do exactly what I wanted, and for 50 bucks, you can't beat it! Got the 8 pin and that worked perfectly with the mk4 beetle headunit, I didn't use the ground eyelet as I didn't know what it was for and still works perfectly.
