I like this product a lot. Make sure the meat is cleaned away after use, there is too many nooks for food to get into.Otherwise I am really happy with the product.

Where do I start?- "Suction" feet aren't and skid across marble worktops- Folding bit doesn't lock closed so it flops about getting it out of the cupboard- Folding bit doesn't detach so you can't clean in the gap properly- Cheap, hard plastic slide cracked on first use and still screeches noisily- Slide doesn't travel far enough so slices don't always fully cut and get dragged back through the cutter- Thumb guard spikes aren't long enough so friction against blade stops meat sliding back after a slice- Blade rotates towards and down so slices get jammed in gap- Thumb guard is damn awkward shape to store- Blade fouls on slide when you lock/unlock it, making it difficult to attach/detach- Flex in plastic bits means the bit near the blade is getting ground down- Did I mention the screeching??To be fair though, it does slice meat.Really miss our 25 year old Krups, mild electric shocks and all.

The media could not be loaded.  I regularly make home made beef jerky. It is so much better and tastier than what you can buy. Also it is so much cheaper. However, it is difficult to get consistent thin slices of beef for marinading and then drying. This slicer is my new kitchen gadget to help me slice my beef steak thin and even. My thinking is of I can slice the beef thinner it will dry quicker so saving electricity in making the jerky. It takes a bit to set the slicer up but once all set, it cuts cleanly and well. The blade is very sharp so care is always needed. I haven't tried cutting ham or salami yet but since it can handle raw beef I am sure it will have no problems with anything else. I am very happy with this gadget.
