DIMENSIONS Counted Cross Stitch Santa with Bag Christmas Ornament Kit, 3.5'' W x 4.5'' H

I had not done cross stitch in ages and even back then was I not very good at it so I started this with fingers crossed. Even though I made quite a few mistakes it came out very cute and you can't notice the small mistakes that I made. My observation though is that it does not look so good on a tree, it's....I don't know...awkward. Doesn't fit on the tree nicely.

I love this project! There is a generous amount of thread, and the results are beautiful. I wish it came with two needles. It’s a size 24 tapestry needle that got bent and the eye closed too tightly, so I had to buy a pack of new ones separately (and first bought the wrong size). I’m going to cover the back of mine by gluing felt to it.

I like everything about my order. It arrived quickly. I am going to stitch it and put it on my Christmas tree.

Beautiful design but in 30 years of cross stitching, I have never had such difficulty with thread. The thread constantly knotted and tore. I've made 9 ornaments from this company / designer and ran out of certain colors a couple of times due to this problem. Fortunately, I could pull excess thread from one of the other sets. Just something to keep in mind.

Pretty once assembled. Altered it just a bit with a swap of beads for the French knots.

Dimensions products are a favorite of mine. This kit represents the quality, challenge and outcome I was looking for.

A fun present

I bought these as something to try during lockdown after exhausting tv. I got hooked! I have never cross stitched before, and made a fair number of mistakes a long the way, but it was good fun and they are on my Christmas tree with pride (albeit not looking quite as good as the picture)
