Best mixer I have found for whiskey

This is the best glass to sample nearly any spirit. Perfect for whiskey, tequila, and rumThis is a replacement, as I shattered one of my other ones. Obviously, the glass isn't strong enough to survive a fall.

For several years it's been impossible to watch review videos of Whiskey (and even other spirits) without seeing this glass. I was always a little skeptical about how much difference it would make. These aren't exactly low priced either. But I wanted to try one out so I treated myself both to the glass and a reasonably decent bottle of bourbon. The difference was incredible. First off I actually could smell some of the things described by others when all I ever got before was 'Whiskey'. This glass encourages smaller sips. I suspect sips that were too large was the reason I mostly tasted the alcohol burn in the past. I actually got to taste what was behind that and it was good. Finally, because of that, an ounce or two lasts a while and seems like enough. It made the money spent on the bottle seem a lot more worth the price. The price of the glass was mostly forgotten. If you're going to drink whisky neat, get one of these and just get the original. It's sturdy and I don't feel like it's going to shatter if I look at it wrong.

As a relatively whiskey newbie, I struggled sometimes to find the smells that others picked up sipping from my rocks glass. I would get a whole lot of alcohol burn in my nose, and that was about it.I didn't expect much from switching glassware, but I'd seen enough people using them that I figured for the price I might as well give it a shot. I was not prepared for how much of a difference it made...the alcohol burn is still there, but distant, and you can start to recognize things that you might never have believed were there.The impact on flavor was less dramatic, but was there (probably a function of the taste/smell connection).All in all, they make for a much better neat drink experience than using a rocks glass.

There's a reason every whiskey nerd seems to have a cupboard full of Glencairns, they're simply the best glass for the price. Small and portable, yet surprisingly durable. Unlike a lot of other cheap glassware, you won't have to worry about it cracking simply because you breathed on it too hard. The base is good enough to get a hold of as to not heat up the liquor with your hands, and the top is tapered to give you more on the nose. The size and shape are perfect for casual sipping, and it just feels natural to use. Fill up to the widest point on the glass for a perfect 50ml pour and enjoy!

Delivery of order was fast. Bought them for someone for Christmas and can’t wait to give them these beautiful, different glasses for their bourbon enjoyment
